One of the most popular Japanese dishes in our country is baked rolls. This warm appetizer with a soft cap of melted cheese and delicate seafood reveals the taste of Japanese delicacy in a new way.

Baked Chicken Rolls

Since baked rolls by themselves have little to do with authentic Japanese cuisine (in the country of the rising sun and our favorite rolls, in principle, they do not cook, they were invented in the USA based on Japanese dishes), you can cook them with any filling, for example, with chicken.

For them, take:

  • 1 sheet of nori;
  • 100 grams of fried chicken;
  • a quarter of fresh cucumber;
  • a quarter of avocado;
  • 200 grams of Japanese rice;
  • capelin caviar - a tablespoon;
  • cream cheese 100 grams;
  • 60 grams of hard cheese;
  • green onions;
  • soy sauce;
  • 1.5 tablespoons of rice vinegar;
  • on a teaspoon of salt and sugar.

Cooking Algorithm:

  1. First, cook rice. Rice for rolls is not cooked as usual, but with the addition of rice vinegar, salt and sugar. And by consistency, it should resemble an adhesive mass, so that the finished rolls do not fall apart. That is why we need special Japanese rice. It is convenient to cook it in a slow cooker. Pour the rice into the bowl, fill it with water so that it is 2 fingers higher than the cereal and cook for 15 minutes in the “Rice” mode. Next, let it stand for another 15 minutes, then season with salt, sugar and vinegar.
  2. Put the rice on a nori sheet in an even layer, leaving a small free strip on top.
  3. Form a strip of cream cheese from one edge, lay a cucumber and avocado cut into strips on top of it. Distribute the slices of fried chicken into vegetables, add a feather of green onion on top.
  4. Dampen the free edge of the nori with water to mold the roll, and then spin the roll.Hands give it a uniform round shape and cut the roll into rolls. To better cut the roll, moisten the knife with water - so the nori will not break, and the cut will be smooth and accurate.
  5. Place the rolls in a baking sheet on a non-stick paper with the cut edge up. On top of each lay a little caviar and a hat of finely grated cheese. Bake rolls in the oven for 5 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees. Serve with soy sauce.

Mussels recipe

Mussels will give the rolls a unique sweetish flavor.

To complete these rolls you will need:

  • 100 grams of rice;
  • 2 sheets of nori;
  • 150 grams of mussels;

  4. Roll the roll using a special mat, slightly pulling it towards you, so that it turns out to be dense and uniform.
