Not only tasty, but also useful sweetness is honeysuckle jam. A five-minute recipe allows you to cook it as quickly and simply as possible. In winter, such a treat will be a storehouse of vitamins and protect against colds, as well as other ailments.

Five Minute: A Simple Honeysuckle Recipe

Honeysuckle is a delicate berry that does not like prolonged cooking. A five-minute recipe will save it in a whole jam. Berries and sugar for the preparation of the dessert in question are taken in the same amount - 1 liter each.

  1. The honeysuckle is removed from the garbage and washed with a weak pressure of water. Handle it carefully so as not to mash the berries and not to stain everything around. Pure fruits are reclined in a colander and left for 10 minutes to glass water. To speed up the process, you can constantly shake them.
  2. The berries are transferred to a pan in which jam will be prepared, and then covered with sugar.
  3. The most responsible recipe is mixing the ingredients. In order not to crush honeysuckle and not turn it into porridge, do not use a spoon or spatula. Simply shake the pan with the lid closed several times.
  4. Next, the container is sent to medium heat until the sugar begins to melt, and the berries start to juice. As soon as these processes began and the first bubbles began to appear on the surface of the mass, it was possible to increase the heating to the maximum.
  5. 5 minutes after the start of an active boil, the pan is removed from the stove. The main thing is not to forget to remove foam from its surface.

Further actions depend on how long it is planned to store the finished jam. If it is soon eaten, then you can immediately pour hot liquid into jars. If the sweet is prepared for the winter, then first the mass must be left at room temperature until completely cooled.

Classic recipe with citric acid

If you want to add sourness with jam, then you can add “lemons” (3 g) to the recipe. It will only slightly change the taste of the dish. In addition to citric acid, you need to take: 1 kg. honeysuckle and sugar, 1 tbsp. water.

  1. The simplest sugar syrup is made from water and sugar.
  2. Carefully washed berries are immersed in a sweet boiling liquid. The mixture should cook for at least 6-7 minutes, after which it is removed from the fire.
  3. The cooled mass will be infused for 7-8 hours, after which the pan with it is brought to a boil on fire and again left at room temperature for several hours. The procedure is repeated until all the berries are at the bottom.
  4. Only at the very last cooking is citric acid added to the mixture. After cooling, the mass can be poured into cans for further storage.

Citric acid protects sweetness from sugaring. With it, the jam will retain its original appearance for a very long time.
