Fragrant pumpkin jam with lemon is not only very tasty, but also beautiful. It can be served as an independent dessert with herbal tea or used for toppings of pies, muffins, cookies. Additional ingredients will make such a treat even tastier.

Basic recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of peeled pumpkin pulp;
  • 850 g of granulated sugar;
  • 1 large unpeeled lemon;
  • 1 stick of cinnamon.

 

Cooking:

  1. First of all, you need to chop the vegetable. The size of the slices depends on what kind of jam structure you plan to get. If jam-like, then it is worth cutting the pumpkin very finely, this will allow it to fully boil. If you want pieces of vegetable to be found in jam, you need to chop the pumpkin with cubes with faces of at least 3 mm.
  2. Pour the resulting pieces into the pan. Add all the sugar at once from above.
  3. Put lemon on the sand. It must first be thoroughly washed and cut into thin round slices. Bones to choose and discard.
  4. Set the pan aside and wait for the sand to dissolve in the juice that stands out from the ingredients. The warmer the room, the faster it will happen. In general, the whole process takes 2 to 3 hours.
  5. Send the container to a fire, bring to a boil, then immediately reduce the heat. Cook the jam for a quarter of an hour, the syrup should not boil actively.
  6. Remove the pan from the stove and leave for 8 - 9 hours. After this time, again send the jam to the fire, boil and cook for a quarter of an hour.
  7. After the next cooling, repeat the whole procedure 3 more times. With the latter approach, add cinnamon.

Pour the finished treat into clean, sterilized jars and close the lids. You can store such jam at room temperature.

With the addition of oranges

Ingredients:

  • 1.2 kg of pumpkin pulp;
  • 2 standard glasses of granulated sugar;
  • 1 large ripe orange;
  • 1 lemon.

 

Cooking:

  1. Peel the pumpkin from peels and seeds. Cut the remaining pulp into medium cubes.
  2. Wash citruses well. Peel the orange, leave the lemon with the peel. Cut both fruit options into small cubes.
  3. Pour pumpkin and lemon into a small enameled pan. From above send slices of orange. If a lot of juice is released during the process of slicing citrus fruits, it should also be poured into a container.
  4. Fill everything with sand and leave the food at room temperature for 2 - 4 hours. To speed up the process of dissolving sugar, you can place a container next to the battery.
  5. Then it remains to send the pan to the stove and boil its contents over medium heat to the desired consistency. In the process, you will constantly need to remove the foam.

Pour hot pumpkin jam with orange and lemon into prepared jars. Close with clean covers.

Cooking option with ginger

Ingredients:

  • 1 kilo of pumpkin;
  • 700 - 750 g of sugar;
  • 25 g of fresh ginger root;
  • 1 medium lemon.

 

Cooking:

  1. To cook pumpkin jam, the vegetable must first be washed. Then peel, remove seeds and fibers. Chop the pulp in neat cubes.
  2. Send the vegetable to the pan, add sugar there and leave the ingredients for 3 hours to let the juice go.
  3. Squeeze the juice from the lemon. Strain so that no seeds fall into it.
  4. Cut peeled ginger into very thin strips. It is convenient to do this with a special vegetable slicer.
  5. Pour citrus juice into the pumpkin and add strips of ginger.
  6. Bring the mass to a boil, cook for 60 - 70 minutes. A quarter of an hour after the start of the process, remove ginger.

Arrange the finished treat in sterile containers. Roll up the lids.

With dried apricots

Ingredients:

  • 1 kilo peeled pumpkin;
  • 350 g dried apricots;
  • 700 g of granulated sugar;
  • 1 lemon.

 

Cooking:

  1. Chopped peeled vegetable into slices of equal size. The optimal size of the faces is 8 - 10 cm.
  2. Put the pumpkin in a saucepan and sprinkle with sand.
  3. Leave the products to stand until enough juice is released from them and the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Rinse dried apricots and soak in water until soft. Cut into strips.
  5. Cook the pumpkin and sugar mixture for 12 to 14 minutes over medium heat. Add dried apricots and lemon juice.
  6. Continue the process of cooking the goodies for another 20 minutes and remove it from the stove. No need to worry that the jam turned out to be liquidy, after cooling it thickens.

Arrange the jam in sterilized dry jars. Close and send for storage.

Pumpkin jam with lemon through a meat grinder

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of pumpkin;
  • 850 g of granulated sugar;
  • 1 orange and lemon.

 

Cooking:

  1. Cut the vegetable pulp with medium cubes.
  2. Peel the orange, and leave the lemon with the peel. Cut citruses into several parts, remove the seeds.
  3. Pass all ingredients together through a meat grinder and add sugar.

When the sweet grains are completely dissolved, you can try the treat. It should be stored in sterilized jars in the refrigerator, but not more than two months.

To prepare such a jam for the winter, the mass passed through a meat grinder can be sent to a slow cooker (extinguishing mode) for 120 minutes and only after that it can be laid out in previously prepared containers.

How to weld a workpiece for the winter

Ingredients:

  • ½ lemon;
  • 800 g garden pumpkin;
  • 750 g of granulated sugar;
  • 150 ml of boiled water.

Cooking:

  1. Pour slices of peeled vegetable pulp with water and cook for about half an hour until soft.
  2. Add sweet sand and juice from half of citrus to the resulting puree.
  3. Bring the mass in an enameled bowl on the stove to a boil, after which make the fire minimal.
  4. Cook the treat until thick for another half hour. Stir the mass with a wooden spoon, avoiding its burning.

Pour the prepared jam for the winter into sterile jars and tighten the lids. Turn containers over, wrap them in a blanket and leave to cool completely. Only then move the containers to the cold for storage.

Apple Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 750 g garden pumpkin;
  • 350 g of apples;
  • ½ lemon;
  • 750 g of granulated sugar.

Cooking:

  1. Cut the vegetable pulp into cubes, and the lemon, along with the peel, into slices. Chop the apple in small cubes.
  2. Fold the prepared foods in a saucepan and cover with sugar. Leave the mixture for 4 - 5 hours.
  3. When there is enough juice in it, send the container to a fire, bring to a boil, and then remove from heat until completely cooled. Repeat the whole process 5-6 times.
