The recipe for feijoa jam is quite simple. Of course, there are several ways to cook, but they all do not take much time, but the result is a tasty and healthy treat.

Classic Feijoa Jam Recipe

Required Products:

  • one kilogram of feijoa;
  • one kilogram of sugar.

Cooking process:

  1. We wash the berries well, cut dry tails, chop into small pieces, sprinkle with sugar and turn into mashed potatoes using a blender. To make sugar dissolve faster, you can add a little water.
  2. The mixture is brought to a boil and after it has cooled, transfer to prepared sterilized jars. We close the lids and put away for storage.

How to cook a workpiece without cooking?

If you do not want to bother, then prepare feijoa jam without boiling. It will save its useful properties, but will be stored a little less.

Required Products:

  • one kilogram of feijoa;
  • one kilogram of sugar.

Cooking process:

  1. We wash the feijoa, dry well, cut the tails and interrupt in a blender until smooth.
  2. We fill the mass with sugar, let it stand until it is completely dissolved.

  3. We fill the mass with sugar and wait until it is completely dissolved.

Mix the jam and arrange in jars. We cover with lids and put in storage in a place with a low temperature.

Blender recipe

Necessary products: all the same.

Cooking process:

  1. Feijoa thoroughly washed. If desired, you can lightly pour boiling water over them, as the fruits are prepared along with the peel. Cut dry ponytails and dry the berries.
  2. We turn them into small pieces so that it is more convenient to process. We send the berry slices to a blender to obtain a homogeneous mass.
  3. Pour sugar into it, let stand for as long as it takes to completely dissolve it. To make the process a little faster, you can add a little bit of warm water.

After that, the finished mass must be distributed over sterilized jars, tightly closed with lids and left in the refrigerator for storage.

Jam "Five Minute"

Required Products:

  • 0.8 kg of sugar;
  • about a kilogram of feijoa.

Cooking process:

  1. As always, first we thoroughly wash the berries and dry at room temperature or wipe them with paper towels. Remove the dry ponytails and cut the feijoa into pieces.
  2. We send them to a blender or you can use a meat grinder, but then, most likely, you will have to scroll the berries a couple of times. The result should be a mass resembling mashed potatoes.
  3. We put half a liter of water in the pan, wait for it to boil, and pour sugar.
  4. Then we add twisted feijoa there, again bring the mass to a boil and keep it on fire for about five minutes.

We distribute the finished mass immediately, in hot form, into pre-prepared sterilized jars, cover with lids, wrap it with something and leave it to cool. You can store in the refrigerator.

With walnuts and oranges

Required Products:

  • kilogram feijoa;
  • one orange;
  • sugar - kilogram;
  • any nuts, for example, walnuts - 100 grams.

Cooking process:

  1. First of all, decide if you will chop the nuts very much or want them to crunch in the jam? When choosing the second option, it is enough to transfer them with something solid, for example, a rolling pin, so that the grains are not too small. In the first case, they will need to be killed in a blender.
  2. Feijoa well washed, dried with napkins, remove the tails and cut into pieces.
  3. We move them into a blender or meat grinder and bring to the state of mashed potatoes.
  4. We clear the orange of the skin, remove all white films and seeds. You can also pass it through a meat grinder, or you can simply knead it with your hands.
  5. Mix feijoa puree with orange, and then with nuts.

We lay out the resulting mass in jars, close them and put in a cold place where they will be stored.

Feijoa jam with persimmon

Required Products:

  • five persimmons;
  • 500 grams of feijoa;
  • sugar - 0.25 kg.

Cooking process:

  1. Persimmon and feijoa are well washed, dried, and tails removed from all fruits. Grind the berries and fruits into small pieces, mix by adding sugar, and let the mass stand for about two hours.
  2. After the allotted time, we transfer everything to the pan and start cooking, setting a weak heating level. After the contents boil, continue cooking for 25 minutes.

After complete cooling, we distribute it to the banks, close it well and put it away for storage in a cold place.

Winter harvest with lemon

The benefits of feijoa for the human body are simply enormous.

And if you add lemon to it, you’ll just get a vitamin “bomb”!

Required Products:

  • 0.1 liters of water;
  • a pound of feijoa;
  • one lemon;
  • 500 grams of sugar.

Cooking process:

  1. Wash feijoa fruits, dry, cut dry tails and cut into slices.
  2. We pour lemon over with boiling water, remove the zest from it and grind it well. Squeeze juice out of the remaining pulp.
  3. Pour the indicated amount of water into the pan and bring to a boil, after which we add sugar and when it dissolves, we introduce the chopped zest and lemon juice there. We make a weak heating level and continue to cook for about five minutes, constantly stirring so that nothing burns.
  4. We remove the mass from the fire, combine it with feijoa slices, mix until smooth and let it cool completely.
  5. Then bring the contents to a boil again and cook for another five minutes.

We distribute the hot mass into the banks, close them and store the jam in the refrigerator.

Multicooking Recipe

Required Products:

  • one multi-glass of sugar;
  • lemon - one piece;
  • 0.9 kg feijoa.

  3. All these pieces are brought to a puree state using a blender or meat grinder.
  4. We lay out the mass in the multicooker bowl, pour the indicated amount of sugar there and mix.
  5. We turn on the “Cooking” program on the appliance, set the time to 60 minutes and wait for the jam to be ready.

While the mass is still hot, it must be distributed over the sterilized jars, close them and allow to cool completely. Then put in storage in the refrigerator.

Feijoa jam is something that you should definitely cook and, preferably, without heat treatment, which kills most of the healing properties of this berry. If desired, a variety of fruits, nuts and even honey can be added to it.
