Mayonnaise dough is an unusual, but very tasty base, suitable for making any baking: from pies to sweet buns with jam. The remains of salad dressing will no longer be stored in anticipation of their time, but are used in business.

Note! To prepare the basis for baking, you can use mayonnaise of any company and price category.

Universal mayonnaise dough for any baking

The presented test recipe is suitable for any baking. From it you can make pies, sweet rolls and pizza.

Necessary components:

  • 150 g mayonnaise;
  • ½ tsp salts;
  • 3 tsp granulated sugar;
  • 25 g fast yeast;
  • 4 cups sifted flour;
  • 250 ml of water.

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Yeast should be poured with warm water and set aside for 15 minutes to completely dissolve.
  2. All ingredients except flour are required to be added to the resulting mixture.
  3. The flour must be introduced gradually with constant stirring, until a uniform, elastic dough is obtained.

The amount of flour may vary depending on its variety and the consistency of the ingredients. The finished product should be left in a warm place so that it rises by 1.5 - 2 hours. After that, various pastries can be prepared from the dough.

With the addition of sour cream

On mayonnaise and sour cream we get the most tender pastry for the pie.

To cook it, you must:

  • 50 g thick sour cream;
  • 200 g mayonnaise;
  • 3 large chicken eggs;
  • 250 g of wheat flour;
  • 10 g of soda or baking powder.

Phased recipe:

  1. Eggs, mayonnaise and sour cream should be mixed with a whisk or a mixer in a deep bowl.
  2. The resulting mixture must be sieved flour, baking powder.
  3. Mix the dough with a spoon or mixer at low speeds.

The presented volume is designed for 8 servings. If necessary, the amount of ingredients can be reduced or halved.

Mayonnaise batter

Mayonnaise batter is best suited for jellied pie.

To prepare it you will need:

  • 2 large chicken eggs or 3 small ones;
  • 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
  • 200 g of wheat flour;
  • 15 ml of vegetable or olive oil;
  • 4 g of baking powder for dough or soda.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. In a deep plate, you need to break the eggs. Beat them with a mixer at slow speeds, gradually adding mayonnaise. In the absence of a mixer, you can use a kitchen whisk.
  2. Sift the flour mixed with baking powder into a separate container.
  3. The sifted ingredients should be mixed with the egg mixture and vegetable oil.

Ready dough should have a very thick sour cream consistency. They can pour any unsweetened filling, for example, meat, fish or vegetables.

How to make pizza

Pizza dough with mayonnaise has a pleasant taste and delicate texture. After baking, it has a crispy but not dry crust.

To prepare it you need:

  • 6 tablespoons of wheat flour;
  • 3 large eggs or 4 small ones;
  • 3 tbsp. l mayonnaise.

Procedure:

  1. Beat eggs and mayonnaise well with a blender. You can use a whisk, but then cooking will take a longer time.
  2. Sifted flour should be added to the resulting mass.
  3. Stir the dough until smooth.

According to this recipe, a rather liquid dough is obtained. When baking pizza, part of the filling can plunge inside, but this will not affect the taste of the finished dish. Cheese, when preparing pizza on a liquid basis, should be put in 10 minutes before the dish is fully cooked.

Shortcrust pastry recipe

Shortcrust pastry with mayonnaise is suitable for making various sweet pastries.

To prepare it you will need:

  • 4.5 tbsp. sifted wheat flour;
  • 1 tsp soda;
  • 250 g butter;
  • 200 g of granulated sugar;
  • 4 tbsp. l mayonnaise;
  • 2 large chicken eggs;
  • a pinch of vanillin.

Cooking Methods:

  1. Eggs, mayonnaise and granulated sugar should be immersed in a bowl and mixed.
  2. To the resulting mass, add vanillin and soda.
  3. Constantly stirring, you need to pour flour in small portions.
  4. Add finely chopped butter to the dough and mix.
  5. The resulting mass must be laid out on a table sprinkled with flour, and knead well.

Ready dough needs to be sent to the refrigerator for half an hour, after which you can work with it. The warm base for baking has a sticky texture, which complicates the work with it.

Advice! Make homemade mayonnaise. It is quickly prepared using proven ingredients, without additives.

Mayonnaise added to the baking base is not felt. It gives the dough extraordinary softness and pleasant taste. Sweet pastries will not give out their taste to add such an unusual component, despite its very unsweetened taste.
