Drug interaction

  • Other NSAIDs, anticoagulants, lithium preparations, methotrexate, glucocorticoids, enhance the side effects of Nurofen.
  • With the simultaneous use of the drug with acetylsalicylic acid, other NSAIDs, there is a risk of liver damage, bleeding and the appearance of gastrointestinal ulcers.
  • When used together with tacrolimus and cyclosporine, there is a high risk of kidney damage.

Contraindications, side effects and overdose

"Nurofen" in the form of rectal suppositories is not used for hypersensitivity to ingredients, peptic ulcer, active bleeding.

Children's antipyretic drug with ibuprofen is contraindicated in the following conditions:

  • allergies to acetylsalicylic acid, NSAIDs with a similar effect;
  • severe hepatic, as well as renal and (or) heart failure;
  • bronchospasm, aspirin asthma;
  • impaired blood formation.

Among the side effects of the remedy, heartburn, nausea, pain in the upper abdomen and in the liver area are more often mentioned.
