The main dish of Italians is pasta. And you need to show remarkable imagination and culinary skill in order to cook different and tasty food every day on their basis. But they do it wonderfully! And any pasta dish has a lot of variations. Like, for example, the classics of the genre - spaghetti with shrimps in a creamy sauce. We will tell you how to cook traditional pasta in sauce and what culinary delights you can come up with on its basis.

Shrimp spaghetti in a creamy sauce - a basic recipe

A good sauce is half the success. Even the simplest pasta will sparkle in a new way if you dress them in an excellent cream sauce. And if you add fragrant Italian herbs and real Parmesan, you will get the taste and aroma of a true Italian dish.

This recipe is the perfect combination of great taste and sophisticated appearance.

So, for this recipe you will need the following:

  • spaghetti or other pasta of hard varieties - 450 g;
  • first-pressed oil — 3 tbsp. spoons;
  • king prawns - 600 g;
  • 3 small cloves of fresh garlic;
  • 350 g of maximum fat cream;
  • spices in the form of ground black pepper and salt;
  • parsley and basil.

It is done like this.

  1. Pasta is boiled. You can use any kind of Italian pasta or ordinary Russian spaghetti made from hard flour.
  2. While they are boiling, prepare the sauce. Sauté the sliced garlic in butter until golden barrels are fried in oil, then take it out and discard.
  3. In the aromatic oil we put peeled shrimp (you can take it with tails, but then after frying they should be removed) and fry.
  4. Pour cream into the pan and cook everything, stirring, until half-thick.
  5. It remains to add salt, pepper and herbs, boil everything and put boiled pasta in this wonderful sauce. After, everything should be mixed and served.

Advice! Shrimp pasta, like other varieties of Italian pasta, does not tolerate overcooked spaghetti. Al Dente - This cooking method is a must for Italians.

However, our compatriots do not always understand this slightly damp consistency. There is a good recommendation for them - when the pasta is ready to the "Italian" state, turn off the heat and pour a glass of cold, or better, iced water into them. Let them stand for a while, and then they need to be thrown back without rinsing. As a result, pasta is soft and not digested due to the fact that they “reach” in hot but not boiling water.
