Snow crab is also crab sticks. Many consider them more tasty, juicy and “real”. It will not be possible to expand the sticks: they are compressed, otherwise they are divided into fibers, like crab meat.

"Snow Crab" - what is it, composition

The basis of the sticks is surimi. Translated from Japanese - it is chopped minced fish. Surimi uses white meat of ocean fish with a minimum fat content and high density: pollock, hake, mackerel or blue whiting. In minced meat, only the loin portion of fish carcasses is used.

After grinding and squeezing, a low-calorie semi-finished dietary product for high protein crab sticks is obtained.

In addition to minced fish, the composition of crab sticks includes such ingredients:

  • water;
  • 3 types of starch;
  • sugar;
  • eggs
  • salt;
  • flavors and dyes (carmines, paprika resin oil).

The composition is indicated on the product packaging of the manufacturer. Other sticks are distinguished by the addition of vegetable oil, a stabilizer and polyphosphate (a water-retaining agent).

What you need: crab sticks, Philadelphia cheese, sushi rice, nori and sesame.

This roll will be rice out, so use only half a sheet of nori.

  1. Put rice on the algae sheet, evenly distribute.
  2. Lightly fry sesame seeds in a dry frying pan.
  3. Sprinkle nori with rice with sesame seeds and carefully turn over.
  4. Put soft cheese and crab sticks on a sheet.
  5. Wrap the rolls and cut into 6 parts.

Tip: instead of "Philadelphia" you can take any soft cheese.

Crispy Crab Salad

Products do not require additional preparation, so the salad is cooked no more than 10 minutes. It turns into a spicy crispy snack.

Salad Ingredients:

  • "Snow crab" of any manufacturer - 200 g;
  • canned beans - 1 jar;
  • hard cheese - 100 g;
  • Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc.;
  • crackers - 40 g;
  • mayonnaise - 100 g;
  • parsley, dill, green onions, salt - to taste.

Cooking:

  1. Coarsely grate the cheese.
  2. Finely chop sticks, pepper and greens, add beans.
  3. Season the salad with mayonnaise, slightly salt, mix well.
  4. Add crackers immediately before serving.
  5. Shuffle again. You can add garlic.

Salad ready.

Snacks with crackers need to be eaten quickly. Otherwise, they lose the original crunch.

Crab Meat Sandwich

The original hot sandwich with crab meat or chopsticks will be tender, juicy, with a crispy cheese crust.

Ingredients:

  • crab meat (crab sticks) - packaging;
  • toaster bread - 4 slices;
  • Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc.;
  • onions - 1/4 pcs.;
  • celery - 100 g;
  • cheese - 50 g;
  • butter - 50 g;
  • mayonnaise - 50 g;
  • favorite spices - 1 tsp;
  • salt;
  • ground pepper.

Making sandwiches from the "Snow Crab" does not take much time:

  1. Finely chop the vegetables.
  2. Grate the cheese.
  3. Mix crab meat and mayonnaise.
  4. Add seasonings, chopped vegetables, mix.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Spread bread slices on both sides with butter.
  7. Put the salad on a slice, squeeze with another slice, sprinkle with cheese.
  8. Heat butter in a pan and fry the sandwich until the cheese melts.

Classic Crab Cream Soup

To prepare a gentle and thick soup of crab meat or sticks "Snow Crab" you will need:

  • crab product - 650 g;
  • freshly prepared fish broth - 2 glasses;
  • milk (preferably fatty) and cream - 2 glasses each;
  • chicken eggs - 5-6 pieces;
  • butter - 140 g;
  • green onions - 100 g;
  • celery greens - 50 g;
  • wheat flour - 2 tbsp. l with a small hill;
  • sherry (or other fortified wine if desired) - ¼ cup;
  • salt - 1.5 tsp;
  • ground pepper (red and black) - to taste;
  • lemon - 1.

From boiled eggs there will be proteins - they can be used, for example, in a salad.

Cooking method:

  1. In chilled, steep eggs, separate the yolks, knead and rub well.
  2. Dissolve butter over a small fire, add finely chopped green onions and celery, simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Then add flour and keep on fire for a couple of minutes. In order not to form lumps, interfere constantly.
  4. Whip the cream into a stable foam.
  5. In a pan with butter and herbs, take turns to add: sherry, broth, milk and cream. It is good to heat the mass, try not to bring it to a boil.
  6. Add the crushed yolks, salt, pepper, put the crab meat into slices. The soup is ready, it can be poured on portioned plates.
  7. Sprinkle with red pepper and garnish with thin slices of lemon.
