Everyone at least once thinks about counting calories. Correctly selected energy value of products per day allows you to get rid of extra pounds, save weight loss results. In order to lose extra pounds, you must comply with the drinking regime, and everyone knows this. A person needs to drink from one and a half liters of clean liquid per day. Today we find out how many calories in ordinary water, with additives, and how it contributes to weight loss.

Chemical composition and nutritional value

Ordinary drinking water helps to lose weight if you drink it from 1.5 liters per day. The fact is that the liver for the breakdown of fats needs just plain, non-carbonated water without additives. Some mistakenly believe that it is ice water that needs to be consumed, this supposedly helps to burn calories, which the body will spend on warming the fluid received in the body. But this way you can only earn a sore throat, but not lose weight. To start metabolic processes, you need to start the day with a glass of water at room temperature drunk in the morning, and then drink one during the day. Everything is easier than it sounds!

In the water of ordinary tap or bottled water there are no proteins, fats and carbohydrates at all. But there are some minerals:

  • calcium;
  • magnesium;
  • sodium;
  • copper;
  • iron;
  • zinc.

There are no vitamins either, so you can’t only drink water all day, as if you didn’t want to lose weight. The lack of vitamins, minerals, protein, fats and carbohydrates is detrimental to human health.

How many calories in water

Does water have calories? It completely depends on what kind of liquid you mean: plain water, sweet, with the addition of sweeteners and other components. We find out what the energy value of consumed drinks is.

Clean drinking

Water is a liquid that does not have color, odor and taste, as well as calories. That is, you can safely drink simple tap and bottled water for your figure.

If you want to add something to the water that will give it a taste, then the calorie content will begin to increase:

  1. Water with honey - about 25-35 kcal. Calorie content depends on the variety of honey, as well as on its quantity — 1 tsp. with or without a slide.
  2. With sugar, the calorie content is less than with honey, it depends on the density of the product (sugar is a loose product, honey is a dense liquid). In 1 tsp. sugar contains an average of 20-28 kcal, the same will be in water.

And how many calories in water with lemon? If you add only a small slice, then you can increase the calorie content of the drink by only 1-2 kcal! Therefore, add citrus to the water, not honey or sugar, it is tasty, healthy, and also not high-calorie.

Mineral

In mineral water, as in ordinary water, there are 0 calories. Drinking without measure can only canteen "soda", and not medical. The latter has a mass of mineral components, and their uncontrolled intake leads to many serious diseases.

Sweet soda

Energy value will depend on the drink. Consider the calorie content of the most popular soda:

  • "Soda", "Lemonade", "Pinocchio" - 43-50 kcal;
  • Coca-Cola decaffeinated - 41 kcal;
  • "Coca-Cola" normal - 42 kcal;
  • “Coca-Cola Zero" (with sodium saccharin) - 0 kcal;
  • Sprite - 40 kcal.

At first glance, it may seem that sweet soda is not so high in calories. But remember, we wrote the number of calories per 100 grams of the drink. That is, if you decide to drink a bottle with a capacity of 0.5 l, then calories consume almost 5 times more!

Benefit and harm

Water is necessary for man. One has only to think about the fact that our body is almost entirely composed of their fluids. Normal, non-carbonated, without any additives, the body needs the body not only for weight loss, but also for full-fledged life. Without it, metabolic processes, growth, and life in general are impossible.

Consider the benefit in more detail:

  1. Water helps to lose weight, as it enhances metabolic processes. It is proved that a drunk glass of liquid before meals allows you to quickly get enough, lose more kilograms than without such a procedure. Water breaks down fats, facilitates the functioning of the liver and kidneys.
  2. Mineral water is good for everyone, but especially for those involved in sports. During training, salt and other trace elements come out with sweat, which can be replenished with mineral water.
  3. Drinking water makes the kidneys work better, which contributes to a faster elimination of toxins from the body.
  4. Water allows joints to remain elastic. Lack of fluid in the body leads to diseases of the bones and joint tissue.

Only body fluid that has not been filtered can cause harm to the body. Viruses and bacteria are actively developing in the aquatic environment, so it’s better not to drink plain tap water, but to pass it through a filter or buy bottled one.

Sweet soda is also harmful, which negatively affects the condition of the teeth, weight, and the cardiovascular system. Even a simple mineral water is better to drink without gases, they can provoke flatulence and the development of ulcers.

Be sure to drink plain water, and its amount should be at least 1.5 liters per day. So you start metabolic processes, overcome false hunger (many confuse thirst with the need to eat, and therefore overeat). Water is life, and for every person it is simply necessary!
