Caesar salad with shrimp is no less popular than the classic version, with chicken. Below are several variations of the preparation of the dish, as well as recommendations for preparing the individual components of the salad - crackers and sauce.

Classic Shrimp Caesar Salad

  • fresh lettuce;
  • olive oil;
  • raw ordinary shrimp - standard packaging;

  • black pepper;

  • half a lemon;
  • a pair of garlic cloves;
  • Caesar sauce;
  • for boiling shrimp several branches of dill, 2-3 peas of allspice, lavrushka.

To begin with, we prepare shrimps: we clean them from the shell, head and insides, at this time we boil a decoction with bay leaf, several branches of dill, a couple of peas of allspice. As soon as the broth boils, lower the shrimp into it and cook 3-4 minutes after boiling the water. Ready shrimps are mixed with dressing from lemon juice, pressed garlic, oil and pepper, let soak for a quarter of an hour.

We cut the salad with the middle cube or tear it manually.

  1. We cut the wheat stick into cubes, heat a few drops of oil in a pan, squeeze the garlic clove and fry the crackers until golden. You do not need to add a lot of oil during frying.
  2. We remove wheat bread from the crust, cut it into thick slices, divide it into cubes, put it on a baking sheet, slightly sprinkle it with olive oil, sprinkle it a little with Italian herbs and pepper, and send it to the oven at 180 degrees.   • a bunch of salad;
  • 200 grams of boiled shrimp;
  • 100 g salted salmon;
  • 4 cherry;
  • 60 g finely grated parmesan;
  • ready crackers;
  • 120 g of low-fat sour cream or natural yogurt;
  • a pair of garlic cloves;
  • tsp mustard;
  • 2 pickled gherkins.

Cooking basics:

  • 4 slices of white bread;
  • lean oil;
  • 300 grams of freshly frozen shrimp;
  • 150 g of dense hard cheese;
  • small forks of Beijing cabbage;

  • 100 ml low-fat sour cream;
  • Art. l mustard;
  • Art. l lemon juice;
  • some ground pepper.

Boil shrimp in slightly salted water. Make bread crumbs from bread. Grate the cheese coarsely, rinse the cabbage under water and chop finely.

  • chicken fillet - 200 gr;
  • wheat salad crackers - 50 gr;

  • Cherry or ordinary small juicy tomatoes - 3-8 units (depending on size);

  • olive oil;

  • Parmesan - 50 gr.

Cut the salad into a medium dice. Boil quail eggs until tender and clean.

For dressing, combine oil, pressed garlic, herbs, grated parmesan, pepper, work with a spoon until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.

Grease the fillet with spices and fry until tender.

Peel and boil shrimps in salted water.

In a salad bowl, combine all the components, with quail eggs, tomato slices put on top, crackers will sprinkle on top of the salad.

Classic salad dressing

Shrimp sauce for Caesar will suit the classic, most common:

  • egg;
  • tsp Worcester sauce;
  • 3 tbsp. l olive oil;
  • half a lemon;
  • salt, pepper - 1-2 pinch;
  • 1 tsp mustard.

The egg should be immersed in boiling water for one minute and then immediately removed, cooled in cold water. Then clean, put in a bowl to mix the sauce. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and other products there. Add lemon juice in small portions so as not to “acidify” the sauce. Work well with a blender - the mass should thicken and lighten.

On a note. Optionally, add a little French (grainy) mustard.

Calorie content of the finished dish

The general opinion about Caesar salad is a dietary dish. However, this is not entirely true, and its calorific value is quite high. Of course, vegetables have a very low calorie content, and shrimp are not too high in calories. But many people forget about the sauce - they add oil and sour cream to it, sometimes they use mayonnaise.
