Ingredients:

  • salted mackerel - 1 pc.;
  • asparagus beans - 1 tbsp .;
  • onion - 0.5 pcs.;
  • canned corn - 0.5 tbsp .;
  • green apple - 1 pc.;
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • sugar - 0.5 tsp.

Step by step recipe:

  1. Bean pods cut into 2-3 cm slices, put in boiling water. Cook for about two minutes. Then put the vegetables in a colander and rinse with cold water.
  2. Peel the onion from the husks and crumble in half rings, and apples in thin slices. Mix foods, sprinkle with sugar and pour over lemon juice.
  3. Separate the fish from the bones and cut the fillet into cubes.
  4. All components, including corn, put in a salad bowl and season with vegetable oil.

On a note. Mackerel can be replaced with herring fillet, and canned green peas can be used instead of beans.

Such a salad is tasty paired with a side dish. But if you want a light evening meal - serve solo as an independent dish.

"Mackerel under a fur coat"

I suggest you try a variation on the theme of a classic salad with herring. Only the fish will use another. Such a dish can diversify the festive menu or delight loved ones with a delicious dinner on weekdays.

For cooking you will need:

  • potatoes - 3 medium sized tubers;
  • onion head - 0.5 pcs.;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • beets - 2 pcs.;
  • egg - 3 pcs.;
  • salted mackerel - 1 carcass;
  • mayonnaise - 200 g;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

Cooking:

  1. Jacket potatoes, carrots, beets and eggs separately. Peel and grate the vegetables on a coarse grater, but do not mix, crumble the eggs.
  2. Remove the ridge, bones, fins, tail of the fish. Cut the prepared fillet into small pieces.
  3. Peel the onion and chop into small cubes.
  4. After that, you can start assembling the salad. The first layer is potatoes (salt and pepper), the second is onions and mackerel, the third is carrots, the fourth is eggs, and the fifth is beets. Between layers, apply a mesh of mayonnaise, and in the finale, thickly coat them with the top and sides of the salad.
  5. It is advisable to send the dish in the refrigerator to soak for several hours, and preferably at night.

On a note. When cooking, you can replace salted fish with smoked fish. The aroma “haze” will add piquancy.
