Canned squid salad is a great option for a quick, festive and generally inexpensive recipe. Ready-made canned food is very convenient to use and mix them with a wide variety of components. Seafood goes equally well with meat, cheese, and fruit. Let’s explain how to make a salad tasty and healthy.

Canned Squid Salad with Egg

Squids are distinguished by a sweetish taste, tenderness, high protein content. Due to it, all salads come out satisfying, but not heavy. True, if you buy a frozen product (it is extremely problematic to find a steam room on our shelves), you have to bother with it: peel off the skin, remove the chord-spine, and scrape the insides.

Although it’s even more difficult to properly cook the squid, not accidentally turning it into a piece of inedible rubber. Canned food (high quality!) Is a wonderful way out. They not only do not need to be cleaned, but sometimes cut: the manufacturer takes care of everything himself. Mistresses can only supplement them with ingredients to their taste.

The classic combination looks like this:

  • a can of squid in its own juice;
  • three eggs;
  • sweet onions - 1 pc.;
  • mayonnaise - 100 ml;
  • lemon juice;
  • salt, pepper to taste.

The sequence is as follows.

Cook and cool the eggs.
Onion cut into small half rings, pickle in lemon juice. We take the squids out of the can, drain the water, cut into thin slices - straws.
Now it’s important to cut the eggs as thin as possible, turning the proteins into delicate thin straws. Gently mix seafood, onions, eggs, season with salt, white pepper, and add mayonnaise.

The rules for choosing good canned food are simple - look for jars where it says: produced in the sea; such canned food is processed in the same place where it is mined - on specially equipped sea vessels.

With chicken

For one can of canned seafood you will need one cucumber, one boiled chicken fillet, a pinch of cedar seeds, a clove of garlic, two chicken eggs. With tomatoes and cheese

In the season of ripe tomatoes, be sure to prepare a salad of squid, cheese and tomato. Just be sure to look for fleshy, varietal tomatoes so that you can remove their seeds.

  4. Squeeze a clove of garlic.
