Thin tortilla or pita bread is a wonderful find that can turn an ordinary salad into an unusual snack. Well, if you conjure over the filling as it should, you get an original roll of pita bread with Korean carrots.

Lavash roll with Korean carrots and cheese

Let's start with the main ingredient, Korean carrots. It can be purchased at a store that is already ready, however, the filling with Korean carrots cooked by yourself will be much tastier, because there will be no preservatives in such a salad.

Ingredients:

  • carrots - 1 kg;
  • sugar - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • salt - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • vinegar (table, 3%) - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • ground coriander - 1 tsp;
  • ground red pepper - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • garlic - 5-6 cloves;
  • turnip onions - 1 pc.;
  • any vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l

If desired, you can also add a tablespoon of sesame seeds.

Execution Technology:

  1. Rub carrots on a special grater or use a vegetable cutter.
  2. Add salt, sugar, stir and mash the root crop with your hands. Soak for half an hour to stand out juice. Discard the resulting liquid.
  3. Cut the onion into large pieces, fry with sunflower oil until golden brown. Then remove the onion so that only the oil remains. The onion itself will no longer be needed.
  4. Pour sesame (optional) into the carrots, chopped garlic, red pepper and coriander. Without stirring, pour the hot oil left over from the onion onto the spices.
  5. Add vinegar and mix. Then put the carrots under oppression and leave at room temperature for a day.

So, after the carrots have been cooked, you can start making rolls.

To do this, you will need:

  • Korean carrots - 300 g;
  • any hard cheese - 200 g;
  • thin pita - 4 pcs.;
  • fresh greens (optional);
  • mayonnaise - 150 g.

Execution Technology:

  1. Grate cheese on a coarse grater. Separate greens from stems, chop finely.
  2. Pita bread, spread out on a countertop or a tray, soak in a small amount of mayonnaise, put about 1/3 of the whole grated cheese on top, put 1/3 of the carrots on it and sprinkle with herbs.
  3. Cover with another pita bread and press lightly. Put the ingredients on top pita bread in the same order. Repeat until all claimed components are used up.
  4. Gently, with a light pressure, tighten the roll. Wrap in cling film and refrigerate. After standing for 60 minutes, remove and cut products with a thickness of approximately 1.5–2 cm.

As decoration, you can use sprigs of dill or parsley, chopped cucumber or olives.

With crab sticks

Crab sticks go well with Korean carrot filling. To prepare this variation of the roll, you will need the same products as in the previous recipe.

Supplement only:

  • table eggs - 6 pcs.;
  • crab sticks - 300 g;
  • processed cheese - 3 pcs.;
  • garlic - 2 cloves.

Execution Technology:

  1. Spread the first pita bread with a thin layer of mayonnaise and evenly spread Korean carrots on it. Twist into a tight roll.
  2. Cool hard-boiled eggs and finely crush.
  3. Lubricate the second sheet of pita bread with a thin layer of sauce and lay eggs. On its edge, put a twisted roll of 1 step and spin them together.
  4. Repeat for the third pita, but instead of eggs, take crab sticks.
  5. On the last layer, greased with sauce, spread the grated cheese, chopped garlic and herbs. Put on the edge of the roll and wrap. You should get one big roll with different layers. Wrap with foil.
  6. Soak in the refrigerator for several hours, then cut into portions and serve.

Important tip! Choose better crab sticks of a high price category. They have less preservatives and a more natural taste.

Chicken stuffed

From chicken and Korean carrots you can make a hearty and unusual roll.

 

To do this, you will need:

  • pita - 1 pc.;
  • Korean carrots - 150 g;
  • smoked or boiled chicken ham - 1 pc.;
  • bell pepper - 1 pc.;
  • greens (to taste);
  • mayonnaise - 80 g.

How to cook:

  1. Peel the ham and skin, finely chop.
  2. Rinse and peeled peppers cut into the same thin strips.
  3. Wash and chop greens.
  4. Spread pita bread with a thin mayonnaise layer. Arrange the products in the following order: green mass, sweet pepper, Korean carrots, chicken on top. Wrap pita bread in a tight roll and leave in the refrigerator.

Boiled fish can replace chicken, which also fits well in this flavor combination.

Cooking with mushrooms

Mushrooms will add satiety to the roll, as well as a characteristic aroma and taste.

Ingredients:

  • Korean carrot - 300 g;
  • pita - 3 pcs.;
  • mayonnaise - 300 g;
  • champignons - 400 g;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • bunch of lettuce leaves.

Sequencing:

  1. Rinse mushrooms, dry and cut into thin slices. Chop the onion into small pieces. Salad - in narrow stripes.
  2. Heat a pan with butter and put mushrooms. Fry until all the moisture has evaporated, then add the onion and fry until it is browned.
  3. Spread a sheet of pita bread with mayonnaise, distribute carrots over it.
  4. Cover with a second layer, and repeat the same steps with lettuce leaves.
  5. Put the third leaf on top, place the mushroom fry.
  6. Roll up the roll, wrap with a film, keep in the refrigerator for 3 hours.

Instead of mushrooms, you can use any other mushrooms, including seasonal ones, such as chanterelles, boletus, white, etc. However, their cooking time will vary.

Ham Ham Roll

Such a roll will become a satisfying and elegant snack for the festive table.

To cook it, take the products:

  • ham - 300 g;
  • Korean carrot - 200 g;
  • pita - 3 sheets;
  • garlic - 3 cloves;
  • a bunch of greens (to taste);
  • mayonnaise - 100 g;
  • hard cheese - 100 g;
  • soft cream cheese - packaging.

How to do:

  1. Cut the ham into strips, rub the cheese, chop the greens into small crumbs.
  2. Add chopped garlic and herbs to the soft cheese.
  3. Spread pita bread with mayonnaise, spread slices of ham on it.
  4. Put a second sheet on top, distribute carrots.
  5. The third pita bread also put on top, spread on it cheese mass with herbs. Sprinkle with hard cheese on top, roll everything into a roll, chop and serve.

To give the dish a more elegant and festive look, you can decorate it with cherry tomatoes.

Tasty appetizer with sausages

Such a roll is prepared quickly and simply, and the ingredients in it are cheap and affordable:

  • Korean carrots - 200 g;
  • sausages - 6 pcs.;
  • pita - 3 pcs.;
  • mayonnaise and / or ketchup (to taste);
  • any greens (to taste).

Recipe:

  1. Prepare sausages in any convenient way (cook / bake).
  2. Cut greens. Pita leaves divided into two halves each.
  3. Put the finished sausage on the edge, next to it - 1/6 part of the total amount of carrots. Sprinkle with greens on top, pour with ketchup and mayonnaise.
  4. Wrap the envelope and repeat these steps with the rest of the ingredients.
  5. The number of servings depends on the number of eaters. You don’t need to cut the roll, it is much more convenient to eat the whole.
