Ingredients:

  • rice - 50 g;
  • millet groats - 50 g;
  • pumpkin pulp - 200 g;
  • milk - 200 ml;
  • water - 100 ml;
  • butter - 2 tbsp. l .;
  • honey - 2-3 tbsp. l .;
  • salt is a pinch.

Order of preparation:

  1. I wash the cereals separately, leave the rice in a colander to dry, and soak the millet for 30 minutes in hot water. Such "steaming" will allow her to cook faster.
  2. I cut the pumpkin pulp into small pieces and let it simmer in butter until soft. The pan should be taken with thick walls so that the porridge does not burn in the future. When using ordinary thin-walled dishes, it is better to boil only in water (250-300 ml), and boiled milk (50-100 ml) should be added approximately 5 minutes before cooking.
  3. Add cereals, milk and water, add salt to taste.
  4. I cook, constantly stirring with a wooden spatula, for 20 minutes.
  5. Add honey, keep porridge on fire a little more.
  6. I turn off the burner and leave the dish to insist for at least a quarter of an hour.

On a note. Such porridge can be baked in the oven (at least an hour). But in this case, you need to increase the amount of liquid to 500 ml. And so that milk does not stick, it is worth diluting it with water in a ratio of 1: 1.
