Any tea party will decorate a bright dessert. What could be tastier than fragrant and satisfying oriental sweets? A recipe for baklava with walnuts and honey with a delicate spicy taste is one of the options for homemade baking.

Classic baklava recipe

Classic honey baklava is made on a yeast-free or buttery yeast dough. It is a lot of thin layers of dough, layered with nut filling.

The composition of the products for honey-nut baklava:

  • honey (250 g);
  • chopped walnuts (300 g);
  • granulated sugar (250 g);
  • sour cream (200 ml);
  • premium flour (500-600 g);
  • chicken egg (2 pcs.);
  • butter (20 g);
  • water (50 ml);
  • cardamom (4 boxes).

Cooking:

  1. Sift flour on the table, put half the butter and sour cream in the middle, chop with a knife and knead the dough. Send the dough in the cold and do the filling.
  2. Put one egg in granulated sugar, mix, add nuts and cardamom.
  3. Divide the dough into two halves, roll it thinly.
  4. On a prepared baking sheet, put one layer of dough, grease with a nut filling, close with a second layer.
  5. The top layer of dough with the filling should be cut into diamonds, put a half of walnut on top of each.
  6. Stir the yolk with a spoonful of water and coat the top layer with this mixture.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes (180-200 ºС), remove, walk with a sharp knife along the cuts and on the sides. Pour melted butter over the top and send back to the oven for 40 minutes.
  8. In a small saucepan, boil honey with water until thick.
  9. Remove the baklava from the oven, pour with honey syrup and leave to cool completely.
  10. Cut the finished baklava completely, put on a dish and serve.

  • chopped walnuts (300 g);
  • lemon zest (to taste);
  • granulated sugar (200 g);
  • finished filo dough (1 pack);
  • butter (200 g);
  • honey (100 ml);
  • water (200 ml).

 

Cooking method:

  1. Remove the filo dough from the freezer. When it leaves, lay out two sheets at once, spread oil on top.
  2. Put another two layers and again - oil.
  3. The next layer is nuts and lemon zest.
  4. Then repeat everything until the prepared foods are over.
  5. The last layer should be greased with oil, cut into squares and on top of each put a piece of walnut.
  6. Send to the oven for 20 minutes (180 ºС).
  7. At this time, prepare the pouring, boiling over low heat the necessary amount of sugar, honey and water.
  8. Remove the baklava from the oven, pour the prepared mass, leave to cool.
  9. Cut the finished sweet into squares.

Armenian dessert option

This baklava is distinguished by its multi-layered, oriental sweet taste. It is prepared from simple products, it turns out unusually tender, goes well with hot drinks.

Products included:

  • butter (350 g);
  • chicken egg (4 pcs.);
  • bee honey (50-60 ml);
  • drinking soda (1 tsp);
  • premium wheat flour (700 g);
  • granulated sugar (400 g);
  • sour cream (300 ml);
  • chopped walnuts (2 cups).

Cooking:

  1. First you need to cook the dough. To do this, grind the flour with 300 g of butter. To the resulting crumbs add three yolks, soda, sour cream and knead the dough.
  2. While the dough is cooling, make the filling: gently stir four protein, sugar and chopped walnuts until smooth.
  3. Roll out eight large flat cakes very finely.
  4. Now you can collect the baklava. Lay out a layer of dough on a baking sheet, cover with the filling. Repeat until the products run out.
  5. Now the blank must be cut into diamonds, greased with yolk, garnished with a nut and sent to the oven (45 minutes, 200 ºС).
  6. While the baklava is baking, prepare the filling: warm the honey and the remaining butter.
  7. Remove the baklava from the oven, cover with fill and send to bake.
  8. The baklava cooked in this way must first be cooled, and then cut into rhombs.

  • filo dough (400 g);

  • pink water (to taste).

 

Cooking:

  1. Remove the dough from the freezer. While it is thawing, proceed to prepare the filling.
  2. The nuts must be cleaned and sent to the oven so that they are slightly dried.
  3. Grind the prepared nuts with a blender, add icing sugar and mix.
  4. Place 10 sheets of dough on a baking sheet, greasing each with melted butter.
  5. Put the nut stuffing.
  6. On top also lay 10 sheets of dough.
  7. Take a sharp knife and cut the workpiece into pieces to the bottom words of the test.
  8. Place the pan in the oven (35 minutes, 180 ºС).
  9. During this time, prepare pouring from water and honey, boiling the mass over low heat. Add rose water to taste in the finished mixture.

Products necessary for the preparation of sweets:

  • butter (200+ 250 g);
  • premium wheat flour (300 g);
  • chicken egg (2 pcs.);
  • cold water (80 ml);
  • hot water (100 ml);
  • salt (1/4 tsp);
  • granulated sugar (1 tsp);
  • icing sugar (250 g);
  • chopped walnuts (250 g);
  • cinnamon (1 tsp);
  • vanillin (4 g);
  • flower honey (150 g).

Cooking:

  1. Prepare the puff pastry in the following way: grate the butter in the sifted flour, break the egg and pour the water, in which sugar and salt must first be mixed. Knead the dough and put in the refrigerator.
  2. After 40 minutes, take out the dough, divide into four parts, each roll out, cover with butter and lay on top of each other. Next, this layer must be folded, rolled out and greased with oil. Repeat several times and put in the refrigerator.
  3. Prepare the filling: nuts, powder, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix everything carefully.
  4. Prepare a baking sheet. Cut the dough into four parts. Roll out each and lay on a baking sheet, layering with a filling. Grease the top with yolk, cut into equal squares, decorate with nuts on top.
  5. Bake in the oven (35 minutes, 200 ºС), pour honey.
