What it is

Shirataki is a long white noodle product that needs to be prepared with special konjac flour. It is mixed with lime water to maintain the shape of the finished “straw”. It is the classic recipe that is considered the lowest calorie.

The mixture obtained from these ingredients is boiled and only then a “straw” is formed. It is interesting that not only noodles can be cut from it, but also “rice”. At the same time, the second option does not require the use of rice flour.

Some chefs confuse the discussed noodles with funchose. But these are completely different products. For the preparation of funchose, corn / bean / potato starch is taken as the basis.

Ready noodles are slightly different in taste from the usual pasta. It can be served as a main course or added to various treats.

Composition, calories and nutritional value

Low-calorie product is primarily due to its modest composition. 97% of it consists of water. The remaining three went to vegetable fiber (flour from cognac). There are no easily digestible carbohydrates in the noodles, so even its regular use will not harm the figure.

 

If we talk about the exact calorie content of the product, then this is only 9 kcal per 100 g. Therefore, dishes with such noodles can be safely added to your diet, even on a strict diet.

How to Cook Shirataki Noodles

Understanding how to cook Shirataki noodles, do not try to make it yourself from the very beginning. This is a rather long difficult process. And not every store manages to find special flour.

It's easier to buy a package of finished noodles. Today it is in most large supermarkets in the health food department or next to cereals / pasta.

First of all, put the contents of the package on a colander and rinse the noodles thoroughly with cold running water. Then, right in the same container, immerse it in a pot with boiling boiling water. After boiling again, cook for 2 minutes. You can not increase this period, otherwise the dish will be spoiled!

 

Drain the liquid. Cool the finished noodles completely in a colander. It should be noted that the product itself does not have a bright taste. Therefore, it can be combined with a wide variety of additional ingredients.

Shirataki with Bolognese Sauce

A dish according to this recipe is allowed to be used even on the attack during the Dukan diet. The low-calorie version of the popular Italian dish turns out to taste no worse than the original.

Ingredients:

  • finished noodles - 180 - 200 g;
  • water - 380 - 400 ml;
  • minced beef - 220 - 240 g;
  • onion - 1 head;
  • tomato paste - 70 g;
  • sweetener - 1 measured spoon;
  • vinegar - 1/3 small. spoons;
  • garlic - to taste;
  • salt, spices, oil.

Cooking:

  1. Fry chopped onions with garlic in a minimum amount of oil. When they soften, add meat.
  2. When the forcemeat changes color, and the main part of the liquid is evaporated from the pan, add water, add pasta, salt, spices.
  3. Simmer under the lid for about 50 minutes.
  4. Last add sweetener, vinegar.
  5. Mix the cooked noodles with bolognese sauce.

Warm up the dish for a couple of minutes and let it brew for about a quarter of an hour.

Turkey brandy noodles

Ingredients:

  • brandy noodles - 380 - 400 g;
  • turkey breast fillet - 180 - 200 g;
  • daikon and leek - 1 pc.;
  • carrots - 2 pcs.;
  • prunes - 70 g;
  • soy sauce to taste.

Cooking:

  1. Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the package. Completely drain the water from it.
  2. Cut the bird fillet. If desired, marinate the slices in soy sauce or use some other marinade for them.
  3. Cut the onion into rings, the rest of the ingredients with medium or large straws, including prunes. If it turned out to be difficult, you can pre-soak dried fruits in warm water.
  4. Well, heat the pan and fry all the ingredients on it alternately. To each pour a little soy sauce.
  5. When both vegetables and poultry are ready, add the noodles.
  6. Hold the dish on a hot stove for a couple of minutes.

Serve hot treats.

Shirataki Pumpkin Puree Soup

Ingredients:

  • pumpkin flesh - half a kilo;
  • tofu cheese - 80 - 90 g;
  • cream (low fat) - ½ tbsp .;
  • bell pepper - half;
  • shirataki in nodules - 230 - 250 g;
  • fine salt.

Cooking:

  1. Take a package of knots. Rinse them with ice-cold running water. Put in a colander. Leave the water to merge.
  2. Use a pumpkin already completely peeled and peeled. Chop the vegetable flesh into slices. Send to the pan. Pour a little water.
  3. Stew vegetable slices until soft. If necessary, add more water.
  4. Knead the finished pumpkin. It is best to use a blender for this purpose.
  5. Add cream, salt. You can use spices. Freshly ground black pepper is great for such a dish.
  6. Send pieces of tofu, pepper, chopped into small pieces.
  7. Bring the mass to a boil. Boil until soft pepper.
  8. Send noodles to the soup. If desired, add a little more water to the desired consistency.

Cook the soup for another 3 to 4 minutes.

Shrimp and Noodle Salad

Ingredients:

  • shirataki - 230 - 250 g;
  • shrimp - 120 - 150 g;
  • green onions - half a bunch;
  • garlic - half a slice;
  • soy sauce - 1 small spoon.

Cooking:

  1. Stew the peeled shrimps until tender. Do not add oil. You can pour a little water into the pan.
  2. Rinse the noodles. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes after boiling the liquid.
  3. Chives are chopped very finely. Crush the garlic.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix ready-made noodles and seafood.
  5. Add onions and garlic to them. Mix everything well. If you want to add salt, pour in your favorite spices.
  6. Pour in soy sauce. Be sure to use the product without sugar.

Stir the dish well again. Serve in any form - hot or cold.

Shirataki noodles salad option according to Dukan

Ingredients:

  • noodles - 340 g;
  • onion - 1 small;
  • chicken fillet - 280 - 300 g;
  • carrots and cucumber - 1 pc.;
  • eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • salt and any spices.

Cooking:

  1. Cook the noodles until cooked. Drain the water from it. Cool the finished product.
  2. Chop the onion very finely. Mix with beaten eggs. Add salt, add selected spices.
  3. Pour the mixture into a silicone mold. Place the container on the wire rack. Bake for 7-8 minutes at 190 degrees.
  4. Cool and cut the resulting omelet from the oven.
  5. Boil chicken or steam.
  6. Cut the bird and raw vegetables.
  7. Mix all. Let the dish brew.
