  • cow's milk - 3 cups;
  • drinking water - 3 glasses;
  • corn grits - 1 cup;
  • granulated sugar - about 3-4 tablespoons;

The recipe for making porridge is very simple.

  1. We rinse the groats under cold running water (usually it is quite clean, pay attention to its quality when buying).
  2. We send milk and water to the capacity of the multicooker.
  3. Add sugar and cereal.
  4. Pour a little vegetable oil into the bowl.
  5. We select the "Porridge" mode, set the cooking time 35-40 minutes, close the lid.

With pumpkin

Corn porridge combines with pumpkin as well as millet. The whole family will appreciate this breakfast dish.

For cooking, take:

  • corn grits - 1 cup;
  • cow's milk - 750 ml;
  • pumpkin (chopped into a grater, or cut into pieces) - 250-300 g;
  • salt and sugar to taste;
  • butter / ghee.

Actions:

  1. We prepare cereals: rinse, fry in a dry frequent frying pan (without adding oil). Frying will make the taste of this cereal brighter.
  2. Pour milk into a saucepan with thick walls and bring to a boil, after which we carefully pour the cereal into it and let it stand for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle the peeled and ground pumpkin with sugar and, having waited until it gives the juice, cook it for several minutes.
  4. We shift the pumpkin into a saucepan with grits and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes.
  5. We spread the porridge on plates, flavored with oil.

How to cook in a slow cooker with meat?

Corn porridge goes well not only with fruits, but also with minced meat. Let's try to cook it in a slow cooker.

For cooking you will need:

  • corn grits - 250 g;
  • drinking water - 750 ml;
  • pork / poultry - 300-400 g;
  • onions and carrots - one each;
  • salt, spices, herbs - to taste;
  • refined vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Actions:

  1. We prepare everything we need: we wash the cereals, cut the meat into small cubes, finely chop the onions and herbs, rub the carrots.
  2. Pour vegetable oil at the bottom of the multicooker and process meat for ten minutes using the “frying” mode. After the meat is cooked, add salt and spices to it.
  3. Add chopped vegetables to the meat and fry with the meat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Next, we send clean cereals to the bowl along with three glasses of water.
  5. We select the porridge mode and set the cooking time to 40 minutes.
  6. At the end of cooking, you can immediately add greens and let the porridge stand for another 7-10 minutes, without turning off the multicooker.
  7. Another option: put the greens on the table so that your household can put it in their plate in the right amount.

With cheese

This porridge is extremely tasty if you add cheese to it.

We will need:

  • corn grits - 350 g;
  • drinking water - 1 liter;
  • salt and herbs to taste;
  • vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon;
  • hard cheese (anyone will do, from parmesan to feta cheese) - 100-150 g.

Actions:

  1. Rinse cereals, grate cheese.
  2. Pour water into the multicooker bowl, send the grits there, salt.
  3. Add a little vegetable oil (so that the porridge does not burn).
  4. On the indicator, select the "porridge" mode, the cooking time is 40 minutes.
  5. Arrange the prepared porridge on plates, add butter, cheese, greens.
