Cranberry compote - a classic recipe

  • 400 grams of cranberries;
  • one and a half liters of water.

  3. Keep the drink on the stove for about ten minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Cranberry compote with currants is another option for a tasty drink. It turns out to be sweet and sour and can be cooked from fresh or frozen berries.

  • 200 grams of any currant;
  • three liters of water;
  • 300 grams of cranberries;
  • sugar to your taste.

Cooking process:

  1. Pour the indicated amount of water into the pan, add sugar to your taste (about three tablespoons), stir and let the mixture boil.
  2. When the boiling process begins, add cranberries and currants to the bowl. Berries must first be sorted out, washed and peeled.
  3. Cook the compote for about ten minutes, and then let it cool. After that, the fresh drink is ready to drink.

How to cook apple and cranberry compote

Required Products:

  • two sweet apples;
  • sugar to your taste;
  • three liters of water;
  • 300 grams of cranberries;
  • orange zest.

Cooking process:

  1. Pour all the water into a container suitable for heating and add a little sugar based on your taste preferences. Stir all the ingredients and put on medium heat, bring to a boil.
  2. Free the apples from the skin, cut a hard core and cut the flesh into small cubes.
  3. As soon as the liquid begins to boil, immediately send the washed berries, apples and chopped zest there.
  4. Continue cooking for another 10 to 15 minutes. You can understand if the compote is ready for apples - if they are soft, then it's time to remove the drink from the heat. Cool it and pour into a suitable container.

Rosehip Recipe

Required Products:

  • two liters of water;
  • 500 grams of cranberries;
  • sugar to your taste;
  • a glass of wild rose.

Cooking process:

  1. We sort out the cranberries and wash them well. Spread on paper towels and dry.
  2. Then we put them in a deep container and knead with a tolkushka (you can skip through a meat grinder). It is important that the juice is squeezed out and the cake remains.
  3. Put the cake in a pan, fill it with water and cook for about five minutes after the boiling process has begun.
  4. Filter what we have, mix with squeezed juice and sprinkle with a little sugar.
  5. We also wash the rosehip and fill it with boiling water. Pour it all into a thermos and leave it overnight.
  6. In the morning, we filter this mixture and mix with cranberry compote. Cool before use.

With oranges and spices

Required Products:

  • 300 grams of cranberries;
  • 150 grams of sugar;
  • a large spoon of honey;
  • two liters of water;
  • one big orange;
  • cinnamon stick;
  • 4 things. carnations.

Cooking process:

  1. Pour the indicated amount of water into the pan, bring the liquid to a boil and pour cranberries there. Continue cooking for another three minutes over medium heat.
  2. We carefully wash the orange, do not throw out the zest, but cut it and send it to the cranberries. The pulp is also chopped into small pieces.
  3. We continue to cook the composition for another ten minutes, pour sugar and put honey. Mix and cook the same amount.
  4. Add cloves and cinnamon. Turn off the plate, cover the drink with a lid and let it stand for about 15 minutes to make it more saturated.
  5. After this time, we filter the compote and pour the juice squeezed from the pulp of orange into it. Cool and taste.
