  1. Riccardo Garcia. This native of Barcelona claims that he was the first to prepare such a drink back in 1914.
  2. Ramon Marrero In the fifties of the last century, he worked at the BeechCamera Bar near the Hilton Hotel in San Juan. Once an enterprising bartender invited visitors to his establishment to try a new drink, which included the previously unknown component Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut, patented by Professor Ramon Lopez Irizzari. It happened on August 16, 1954.
  3. Ramon Portas Mingota. While working as a bartender at La Baracchina, he invented a new cocktail of pineapple juice, coconut cream and condensed milk.It was in 1964.

  • 50 milliliters of light rum;
  • 90 milliliters of pineapple juice;
  • 30 milliliters of coconut milk.

  • jigger (double-sided measuring cup for 60 and 20 milliliters);
  • a glass of Hurricane;
  • blender (for mixing components).

To prepare a cocktail, you must perform the following steps:

  1. Cool the glass. To do this, it can be briefly put in the freezer or filled with ice cubes.
  2. Pour all the main components into a blender.
  3. Add crushed ice to them.

  5. Pour the resulting mixture into a glass.
  6. Garnish with a cherry and a slice of pineapple.

  • 100 milliliters of pineapple juice;
  • 20 milliliters of sugar syrup;
  • 50 milliliters of coconut cream
  • 60 - 70 grams of crushed ice.

The technique for preparing the drink is simple:

  1. Pour all liquid ingredients into a blender bowl and beat them well. The mass should be lush and as homogeneous as possible.
  2. Add ice and repeat whipping.

The result is an original dessert with a creamy structure. It only remains to pour it into a glass (or a tall glass), garnish with a slice of pineapple or citrus and a cherry.

Original variations of an alcoholic cocktail

The popularity of the famous Puerto Rican cocktail is growing every year. There are new interesting options for its preparation. The traditional Pina Colada alcoholic recipe is supplemented with ingredients that change not only the taste, but also the appearance of the finished drink.

With Malibu Liqueur

Take, for example, a drink called Banana Colada. It contains all the main ingredients of a classic cocktail: liquor, white rum, pineapple juice, the proportions depend on the presence of additional components.

  • 50 milliliters of any white rum;
  • 2 medium bananas;
  • 30 milliliters of Malibu liquor;
  • 150 milliliters of pineapple juice.

  2. Collect all ingredients in a blender bowl and beat for 3 minutes.

Coconut Milk Recipe

For the festive party, another interesting option is suitable, in which the following components are used:

  • 20 milliliters of Amaretto liquor;
  • 40 milliliters of coconut milk;
  • 60 milliliters of coconut cream;
  • 80 milliliters of white rum;
  • 160 milliliters of pineapple juice;
  • 60 grams of crushed ice.

The recipe is easy to remember, and even easier to repeat.

To do this:

  1. All ingredients are alternately loaded into a blender.
  2. Beat 45 seconds.
  3. Gently pour into the glass so that the foam lies on top of the cone.

There is another original recipe. Lovers of dairy desserts should like it.

For this option you will need:

  • 100 milliliters of pineapple fresh;
  • 40 milliliters of white rum;
  • 30 grams of ice cream (preferably creamy).

The procedure for preparing the drink remains the same:

  1. Collect all the ingredients in a blender bowl.
  2. Beat them well.
  3. Pour the mixture into a chilled glass. It is better to prepare it in advance.

Serve the drink with a straw, decorating it with a pineapple slice strung on the edge of the glass.

How to serve a cocktail beautifully

Traditionally, in any drinking establishment, the Pina Colada cocktail is customary to be served in a Hurricane type glass. But, as an option, it can be any tall glass (Collins or Highball). True, their volume is 2 to 3 times less than that of Hurricane. Therefore, initially it is necessary to correctly select the number of source components.

However, some experts believe that tropical cocktails are best served in pineapple or coconut.
