Light, sparkling, bitter-sweetish cocktail Aperol Syringe symbolizes freedom and emancipation. No wonder it is so popular among European youth: no fashion party can do without Aperol. On hot summer evenings, it will be so nice to meet the sunsets with a glass of drink, the color of which matches the setting sun - pink-golden with highlights and tints. We will tell you how to make a cocktail yourself.

Aperol Spritz - A Cocktail Story

The history of the Aperol Syringe cocktail deserves attention. It’s worth starting from the moment of inventing the main component of the Aperol drink. This unusual bitter was invented in Italy. Its creators are the brothers from Padua Silvio and Luigi Barbieri. They managed to combine in one recipe the bitterness of herbs (this includes bitterness, hina fruits, Italian herbs), the sourness of rhubarb and the refreshing note of citrus, which is famous for Northern Italy. The full composition is reliably unknown: this is the secret of the manufacturers. But it is known that in total there are more than 30 components in Aperol, due to which a complex, interesting, rich taste is obtained. At the same time, alcohol is only 11%, which allows it to be classified as light low-alcohol drinks.

It is curious that in Germany the fortress of Aperoli was increased and amounts to 15%.

At one time Aperol was inexpensive, and drank it everywhere. The peak of popularity, however, came in the 50s of the last century. Immediately after the Second World War they began to use it to ennoble the taste of Italian wines: they themselves are rather rude, and the decot gave them sophistication.Through experiments, the Aperol Syringe appeared (the syringe in this case means splashes, or bubbles of champagne): gourmets loved to combine Aperol with carbonated drinks, especially sour champagne. And so that Aperol would only refresh, but not dizzy, it was additionally diluted with soda water.

Sometimes you can make a cocktail immediately in a large capacity, and then serve it to guests. But do everything quickly so that the magic bubbles do not disappear.

How to Make Aperol Betty

Aperol Spritz is often supplemented with fresh juices from orange, grapefruit, and pomelo. This variation is called Beter Aperol. Among the entire line of aperitifs, Betty stands out for its special lightness and freshness. There is very little alcohol in it - only 5%, so a glass of cocktail does not hurt at all during a summer dinner.

If you decide to use not freshly squeezed, but store juice - look for high-quality, preferably with pieces of pulp.

We will need:

  • 60 ml of Aperol;
  • 70 ml of orange juice;
  • 70 ml of grapefruit juice;
  • 100 g of ice.

Mix the ingredients in a large tall glass, and then add ice. We drink through a straw in small sips. Aperol Betty - "longdrink", that is, you should not drink it quickly. The drink is the perfect pre-dinner aperitif with grilled king prawns.

Cocktail Paper Airplane

“Paper Airplane” is a strong, invigorating evening drink based on bitter. This is the most evening version, great for dancing parties. A glass of “Paper Airplane” will cheer you up and energize you. The main thing is to stop on time.

The temperature of the cocktail can be any, but it is still chilled tastier.

  • 30 ml of whiskey;
  • 50 ml aperol;
  • 40 ml of soda (or schweppes);
  • 30 ml of lemon fresh.

We mix the components, add ice, decorate with a lemon slice and serve in a whiskey glass. Sandwiches with light-salted trout and butter will be an excellent snack for a cocktail.

Do-it-yourself Descanso drink

The composition of the cocktail with Aperol is easy to change at your own discretion, adding syrups, mint or fruit juices. Descanso is an interesting interpretation with syrup, where sweetness and bitterness blend perfectly. The strength of the cocktail is quite high - 7%, and sugar, as you know, enhances the effect of alcohol. But before a hearty dinner, Descanso's glass will be a very good start.

When choosing cheeses for a cocktail, do not take them with bright tastes: they will prevent you from discovering the taste of Aperol Syringe; the best appetizer with a neutral taste, without spiciness or sourness.

Essential Ingredients:

  • 20 ml Aperol;
  • 60 ml of whiskey;
  • sugar syrup - 15 ml;
  • 3 slices of lemon;
  • 4 leaves of mint;
  • ice.

The first step is to grind lemon with mint, and add a delicious mixture to a tall glass. Then we pour in a thin stream of Aperol, whiskey, add ice. Serve in a glass for whiskey or bourbon.

Preparing Aperol Sauer cocktail

If you remove from the composition of whiskey, leave only lemon fresh and Aperol, we get a lightweight version of Descanso - light and "girl". Ideal for gatherings with friends in front of the pool on a hot summer day.

A cocktail is often served before dinner, where the main course is fish; fish and seafood emphasize the exquisite citrus flavor of the aperitif.

What to prepare:

  • 50 ml aperol;
  • 30 ml of lemon juice;
  • 15 ml of syrup.
