How to cook a side dish in the oven?

Idaho potatoes in the oven are almost no different from the classic version, except that it turns out to be softer, because it is cooked without cooking.

Required Products:

  • two tablespoons of olive oil;
  • two cloves of garlic;
  • a mixture of herbs;
  • 300 grams of potatoes.

Cooking process:

  1. We wash the potatoes well, cut into small slices. It is not necessary to clean the skin.
  2. Mix herbs with oil and crushed garlic. With this mass we rub every slice well.
  3. We spread everything on a baking sheet so that the potato slices do not touch each other. We cook them in a preheated oven for about 25 minutes. The temperature will be enough at 200 degrees.

In a slow cooker

Idaho potatoes in a slow cooker are easier to cook and much more healthy.

Required Products:

  • two cloves of garlic;
  • the right amount of potatoes, about 7 tubers;
  • two tablespoons of olive oil;
  • spices and herbs to your taste.

Cooking process:

  1. Wash the required amount of potatoes using a brush, so as to remove dirt. Then cut them into small pieces in the form of slices.
  2. We spread the slices into the bowl at a certain distance from each other, add a little water and salt and turn on the “Stewing” mode for three minutes.
  3. While this process is in progress, combine the oil with garlic and selected spices. It is good if there is pepper and Provence herbs.
  4. We take out the potatoes, rub it with the cooked marinade and again place in the bowl. We turn on the device in the “Baking” mode for 25 minutes.

  • 30 milliliters of olive oil;
  • 0.5 kg of potatoes;
  • spices to taste.

Cooking process:

  1. We wash the potato tubers, cut into small slices, put in a container that can be used in the microwave.
  2. Pour the indicated amount of water, put a little salt, pepper and any other seasonings that you like.
  3. We cover with a lid (it should also be heat-resistant) and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning on the device at full power.

Cook in the oven without cooking

  • two large spoons of olive oil;
  • spices and herbs.

Cooking process:

  1. As always, first we wash the potatoes well, as it is cooked together with the skin. Of course, it can be removed, but then it will be another dish. And the peel retains a lot of useful substances.
  2. Cut the tubers into slices.
  3. Mix the butter with any spices you like. Potatoes go well with Provencal herbs. Do not forget about a small amount of salt. You can also add garlic.
  4. Coat the potatoes with the mixture and let it stand in it for about 10 minutes.
  5. We heat the oven to 200 degrees, put the vegetable slices on a baking sheet, cover them with foil on top and cook for about 40 minutes.

Classic Idaho Potato Spice Set
