How to cook dried fruit compote?

As a rule, apples, pears, prunes and dried apricots are used to make such a drink. The composition of the recipe can be changed, because each ingredient differs not only in its taste, but also in its benefits. So a compote of apples and rose hips will help to cope with a cold. To improve memory and the thyroid gland, a drink from dried figs is a good choice. You can drink dried apricots instead of fruit tea. Dried bananas, dates and pineapple will give the drink an original and unusual taste.

There are two ways to make a drink:

  1. Dried ingredients should be dipped in boiling water. As soon as the water with fruits boils, immediately turn off the fire. We wrap the pan in a blanket and infuse the drink for 10-12 hours.

It is important to know the proportions of the components used. If the compote is cooked from apples, then their number should be at least half of all dried fruits. The remaining ingredients are added equally.

How to cook dried fruit compote after boiling?

Each dried fruit has its own characteristics, on which the process of preparing the drink depends.

  1. Cooking time for apples, pears and dried apricot is at least 20 minutes, and rose hips at least half an hour.
  2. Prunes and viburnum need to be cooked for 15 minutes.
  3. Dried apricots are added 10 minutes before being cooked. Dried berries in 5 minutes.

If sugar is used, then it is poured 2 minutes before the drink is ready.

How to cook a classic compote of dried fruits with sugar?

Today, in every store you can buy a ready-made set of dried fruits. True, such a purchase does not always meet all quality requirements. Therefore, it is better to buy dried fruits separately or to dry them in the summer yourself.

To prepare the uzvar, the following ingredients are required:

  • 200 gr. dried apples;
  • 50 gr pears;
  • 100 gr. prunes
  • 50 gr dried apricots;
  • sugar to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Before you start cooking uzvar, all the ingredients must be processed. To do this, put them in boiling water for a few minutes so that all the dirt goes away. Then transfer to a colander and rinse in warm water.
  2. We take a deep container, fill it with water (3 l) and put on the stove. As soon as the water boils, we begin to lay out the drying. First apples and pears, and then dried apricots with prunes.
  3. After 30 minutes, add sugar, mix and cook for another 10 minutes.

How to cook dried fruit compote for children?

Compote for a child is an integral part of baby food. Such a drink is rich in vitamins, minerals and other important substances that are necessary for the proper development of the baby. The first drink for children without sugar should be made from apples and pears.

Ingredients:

  • 100 gr. apples
  • 50 gr pears;
  • 1 liter of water.

Cooking method:

  1. Rinse the dried fruit well and soak it in warm water.
  2. Put the prepared drying into boiling water and cook the compote for 30 minutes.

For older children, you can make a drink not only from apples and pears, but also with other fruits. Sugar is better not to use, and add sweet dried fruits, for example, dried banana and apricot to the compote.

  • 100 gr. dried pears;
  • 50 gr dried apricot with a seed;
  • 100 gr. prunes
  • a handful of raisins.

Cooking:

  1. Pour 3 liters of water into the pan and put on fire.
  2. As soon as the water boils, add apples, pears and apricot. Cook for 15 minutes.
  3. Now you can add raisins with prunes. Cook until cooked for another 20 minutes.

With honey

Ingredients:

  • 50 gr pears;
  • 30 gr apples
  • 25 gr dried cherries;
  • 40 gr dried plums;
  • 25 gr raisins;
  • 80 gr. honey.

Cooking:

  1. Pears and apples are poured with boiling water (1 l), set on fire and cook for 15 minutes.
  2. After the time has passed, add the remaining ingredients and leave it on fire for another 10 minutes.
  3. As soon as the drink is almost ready, add honey and mix.
  4. We close the finished drink with a lid, and give it time to brew.

Dried fruit alcohol compote

Dried fruits can even boil an alcoholic beverage. In its preparation, you can use any wine, but not sweet, but semi-dry or semi-sweet. But red or white depends on preferences.

Ingredients:

  • 180 gr. wine
  • 2.5 liters of water;
  • 500 gr. any dried fruit;
  • 100 gr. Sahara;
  • 5 buds of cloves.

Cooking:

  1. We wash dried fruits, fill them with cool water and leave for 3 hours.
  2. Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil and pour out dried fruits. Cook the fruits, depending on their type, from 15 to 30 minutes.
  3. 10 minutes before cooking, add wine, sugar and cloves.
