If you like fish, then you have probably at least once thought about how to cook catfish. Meanwhile, there is nothing complicated in this process. There are many different recipes with which you can get a tasty, beautiful and healthy dish from this inhabitant of the seas.

Oven-baked catfish

Catfish in the oven is a classic. It is unlikely that it will be possible to cook such fish easier and faster in another way.

In addition to the carcass of a blue catfish, also prepare:

  • "Fish" spices to your taste;
  • one onion;
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs.

The action algorithm is simple:

  1. Rinse the carcass thoroughly, wipe it with prepared spices, not forgetting the salt and pepper.
  2. Define the workpiece at the bottom of the baking dish and cover with the onion to be cut into rings on top.
  3. If desired, the fish can also be smeared with mayonnaise or sour cream, but this is not necessary.
  4. Sprinkle the carcass with breadcrumbs and cook for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees.

  • three tablespoons of flour and the same amount of breadcrumbs;

You will need:

  • bay leaf and other spices, combined with fish;
  • carrot and bulb;
  • one catfish of medium size;
  • four potatoes;
  • a spoon of "Hercules" or millet.

Algorithm of actions:

  1. We put the water to heat and dip the fish into it, cut into pieces in advance. Cook for about 20 minutes.
  2. During this time, we cut the carrots into round pieces, and the onions and potatoes into cubes.

  • 200 grams of mayonnaise;

  • clove of garlic;
  • 150 grams of flour.

Cooking process:

  1. We wash the fish, let it dry completely or speed up the process with paper towels.
  2. Cut into small pieces, preferably fillet.
  3. In the container we connect the eggs with mayonnaise, flour, spices and squeeze the garlic there or grind it on a grater.
  4. We put fish in this mixture and leave it for about an hour so that it is saturated.
  5. We shift the workpiece into a hot pan with oil, pour the remaining batter on top and bring the fish to brown on both sides.

With vegetables in foil

Essential Ingredients:

  • spices to taste;
  • several catfish steaks;
  • one bell pepper;
  • salad onions - one piece;
  • clove of garlic;
  • approximately 50 grams of cheese.

Cooking process:

  1. We wash all the vegetables from the list and cut into rings. We do the same with garlic - we make it into thin slices.
  2. We put onion, pepper, garlic on the foil - but not all, but only a part of the total.
  3. We rub the fish well with spices, you can sprinkle it with dry herbs, and put on vegetables. Top with the remaining ingredients and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  4. Carefully wrap the foil so that there are no gaps anywhere, and put the mold in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  5. After this period of time, carefully open the foil on top and bring the dish to readiness for another 10 minutes. During this time, all the released liquid will leave, and the top of the catfish will become rosy and fry due to cheese.

Catfish in cream sauce

Essential Ingredients:

  • spices and fresh herbs to your liking;
  • a piece of cheese, approximately 50 grams;
  • half a kilogram of catfish;
  • 200 milliliters of cream;
  • 150 grams of champignons.

Cooking process:

  1. First, prepare all the components. Cut the greens as finely as possible, turn the mushrooms into thin slices, and grind the cheese.
  2. We wash the fish if necessary, let it dry completely. You can wipe the carcass with paper towels.
  3. Sprinkle the catfish well with spices, for example, with a special mixture or use salt and black pepper. You can leave the carcass for a while for impregnation. And if you want to remove the fishy smell, then soak the pieces in milk.
  4. In the form we place the pieces of fish, then sprinkle them with greens on top. We put the mushrooms, cover them with chopped cheese and pour the cream.Depending on the amount of fish, more may be required than indicated in the recipe.
  5. We put the almost finished dish in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. But it is better to periodically monitor him, perhaps it will be ready sooner.

Despite the fact that the catfish does not look particularly cute, it tastes just gorgeous and very tender to taste. In addition, there are very few bones in it, which, you see, is an undeniable plus in front of many other varieties of fish.
