How to bake mannik - a classic recipe

Classic mannik is prepared on dairy and sour-milk products. It is ideal to use homemade milk with high fat content, then the cake will turn out to be lush, resilient and very tender.

Take:

  • one glass each - semolina, milk, sugar and flour;
  • 3 fresh chicken eggs (also better from a domestic chicken);
  • high fat oil (or margarine) - 1/3 pack;
  • 11 g store baking powder;
  • a pinch of salt (approximately 3 g).

Pour a glass of warm milk into the semolina, mix and leave on the table. This is done so that the porridge swollen and baked well, and the baking came out soft and uniform. During this time, prepare a mixture of eggs and butter. Break the eggs into a saucepan, salt, and beat with granulated sugar using an immersion mixer or a regular whisk. Then add a little melted butter (can be replaced with table margarine). Combine the swollen cereal and the liquid mixture, stir in the sifted flour, do not forget about the baking powder. Place the dough in a heat-resistant dish, which previously grease the inside with grease so that nothing sticks. It is recommended to bake the product for about an hour or a little longer, at a temperature of 180 degrees, at an average oven level.

Complete the dish to taste - pour condensed milk, icing, jam or garnish with fruit. In this form, the traditional manna will turn into a real festive cake "in haste."
