  • brown bread - 2 slices;
  • peas - 200 gr;
  • one carrot;
  • dry dill - 20 gr;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • two cloves of garlic;
  • black pepper - to taste;
  • three leaves of lavrushka;
  • water - 3 l;
  • smoked ribs - 0.5 kg;
  • salt to taste;
  • sunflower oil - 35 gr.

Cooking peas with soaking:

  1. Dip the peas in the water all night.
  2. Before cooking, we process it under the tap.
  3. Put ribs in a pot of water. Cook them for 40 minutes. We got the broth.
  4. Remove the meat from the pan. It needs to be cooled and the bones that we throw away will be separated. Leave the meat and cut it into pieces.
  5. Put peas in the broth and cook for 40 minutes until soft.
  6. Grind onions with carrots in any way and pass in a frying pan in oil.
  7. Cut peeled potato tubers into cubes.
  8. As soon as 40 minutes have passed, pour all the vegetables and pieces of meat into the soup. At this stage, add salt, bay leaves, black pepper and additional spices to your taste.
  9. We turn on the oven and set the temperature to 200 degrees.
  10. Pieces of black bread are chopped into small squares, crushed garlic and rub them with bread.
  11. We send on the baking sheet cubes of bread in the oven for 5 minutes. The result is croutons.

How to cook pea puree? It's simple. The most important thing is that the peas are sufficiently boiled and be very soft. So there will be no lumps in mashed potatoes.

  1. Best of all, pre-leave the bean culture in water for the night. So you will be 100% sure that the peas are cooked. To make the mashed potatoes soft, tender and saturated, pour some milk in the water where the peas are soaked.
  2. In the morning, drain the liquid from it, and fill in a fresh portion of water, in which our puree will be prepared. 600 milliliters of water are poured into 200 grams of peas.

This is a great side dish for meat. But it can also be served as an independent dish for lunch, adding to it, for example, mushrooms. Then the meal will be even more nutritious and rich.
