Knowing how to make shawarma, you can quickly cook a satisfying and tasty snack for the whole family, without worrying about the quality of the finished product.

Options for Dish Sauces

The most commonly used ingredients for sauces are mayonnaise, tomato paste, ketchup, yogurt, kefir, sour cream. As an additive, garlic, fresh or sour cucumbers, herbs, lemon juice, dried herbs are often used.

For those who care about their figure, a dietary version of the sauce is suitable:

  • unsweetened nonfat yogurt - a glass;
  • fresh cucumber - 1 pc.;
  • garlic - 4 cloves;
  • dill - 4-5 branches;
  • pepper and salt to taste.

Cooking:

  1. Grind the cucumber on a grater.
  2. Pass the garlic through the press.
  3. Chop the dill.
  4. Combine all components and let it brew a little.

Instead of yogurt, you can use sour cream, but you can’t call such a diet sauce.

  • adjika - 1 tbsp. l

Classical Chicken Shawarma

Chicken shawarma is prepared quite simply.

  • thin pita bread - 3 pcs.;
  • chicken fillet - 1-2 pcs.;
  • cucumbers and tomatoes - 2 pcs.;
  • cabbage - 150 g;
  • mayonnaise - 6 tbsp. l .;
  • dill - 3-4 branches;
  • garlic - 2 cloves;
  • salt, spices, oil - at personal discretion.

Sequencing:

  1. Cut the meat into slices and fry until golden. Season with salt and season to taste.
  2. Grind the cabbage, sprinkle a little with salt and mash well with your hands so that it becomes softer.
  3. Cut cucumbers and tomatoes into circles.
  4. Chop garlic and dill. Combine with mayonnaise, add the necessary spices.
  5. Lay out the sheets of pita bread on the table. Put vegetables on one side, meat on top, then pour sauce.

Many do not know how to properly wrap shawarma. This is nothing complicated: you just need to roll up the blank with a roll, while tucking the edges so that the contents do not fall out.

Cooking with Pork

Pork is a fatty and high-calorie meat, so it needs to be supplemented with a large number of vegetables. You can buy ready-made dough for pita bread, but you can also make it yourself, although not everyone has the time and desire to tinker with it.

What do you need:

  • pita - 3 pcs.;
  • pork - 300 g;
  • tomato and cucumber - 1 pc.;
  • Korean cabbage and carrots - 100 g each;
  • garlic - 1 clove;
  • mayonnaise and ketchup - 125 g each;
  • salt and spices to taste.

How to cook:

  1. Cut meat into strips. Salt, season and fry until golden brown.
  2. Prepare vegetables: chop cabbage, cut into slices a large cucumber with carrots.

  2. Grind cheese, chop mushrooms. Fry oyster mushrooms.
  3. Chop the onion into rings.
  4. Add salt and spices to the minced meat and mix well. Fry until fully cooked.
