Close the container with a lid and cook at full capacity. Cooking time will depend on whether the potatoes are young or old and the working capacity of the device. With an oven power of 500-550 watts, young potatoes will cook for 8-11 minutes, old potatoes 9-12. For more powerful devices (600-850 W) young tubers will be ready in 5-9 minutes, old 6-11.

A potato in a microwave without water is more like baked tubers, but if it is cooked with a peel, it can be used for salads. The advantage of this method is that it is not necessary to use a special pan. You can take an ordinary flat porcelain plate, but without a gilded border.

Next, washed potatoes should be peeled or pierced in several places. Grease the prepared tubers with salt oil and spices and leave for 10-15 minutes so that they have time to soak.

Then lay out on a flat dish in one layer and put in the microwave. From above, a plate with potatoes can be covered with a special cap, but this does not have to be done. Turn on the stove at maximum power for 10 minutes. After a beep, check the readiness with a fork and, if necessary, withstand another two to three minutes.

Jacket potatoes - the fastest way

This method of cooking potatoes is especially relevant during the preparation of vegetables for salads, since it allows you to get this ingredient in just 10 minutes. Just remember that it’s impossible to cook large tubers in the microwave, it’s better to take medium-sized potatoes and no more than 6-8 at a time.

Chopped potatoes

You can quickly boil potatoes in the microwave so that it becomes a full-fledged second course.

With the right approach to business, the taste and nutritional properties of the resulting dish will please with decent indicators.

To do this, you will need:

  • 400-500 g of potatoes (more at one time to cook, alas, will not work);
  • 200-400 ml of meat broth;
  • salt, bay leaf, herbs and spices to taste.

Course of action:

  1. In a glass pan with a lid, designed for cooking in a microwave oven, pour the broth with salt and spices, heat it at the maximum power of the gadget for 3-4 minutes. If there is a hot broth, this item can be omitted.
