Even the most inexperienced housewife will be able to cope with cooking, and we will tell you how to cook this simple dish on a stove, in a slow cooker or in an oven.

Buckwheat with mushrooms and onions, and carrots - a simple recipe

Buckwheat with vegetables is usually prepared as a side dish for a meat dish.

For her you will need:

  • 350 g of buckwheat;
  • 1 large carrot;
  • 1 large onion;
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil;
  • a few cloves of garlic;
  • pepper and salt to taste.

The ratio of water and cereals for cooking is usually two to one, that is, one cup of buckwheat is poured with two cups of boiling water, and cooked under a lid over low heat. Water evaporates - porridge is ready.

Preparing the dish is very simple.

  1. Pour the cereal with two glasses of boiling water, salt and cook until tender.
  2. Fry vegetables in small cubes in oil.
  3. At the very end of the frying, put in a pan finely chopped garlic or minced through a garlic press. Mix everything with buckwheat and, having covered with a lid, leave to reach without fire for another 15 minutes.
  4. Serve as a side dish or a separate dish, decorated with greens.

Buckwheat with mushrooms and onions, and carrots as a merchant

It is not known who and when called this dish buckwheat in a merchant's way. Moreover, there are variants of the name of this buckwheat with gravy and buckwheat mushrooms in Stroganov or even royal style.Whatever the name of this delicious dish, it is based on cereals, vegetables (onions, carrots), mushrooms, as well as a delicious sour cream and tomato sauce that combines all the ingredients and creates a pleasant creamy taste.

Products:

  • 200 g washed cereals;
  • 200 g sour cream;
  • 300 g of mushrooms (mushrooms are usually put, but oyster mushrooms and forest mushrooms are good);
  • 2 large onions;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of tomato paste;
  • 1 tbsp. a spoonful of butter;
  • 1 teaspoon flour;
  • pepper and salt to taste.

Working process.

  1. Cook buckwheat.
  2. Cut the onion into half rings, carrots into small cubes. Fry vegetables in vegetable oil and set aside.
  3. In the remaining oil, fry the mushrooms cut in half. They must be browned. Important! Champignons can not be soaked strongly - they quickly absorb water and lose their taste.
  4. Separately, melt a spoonful of butter in a saucepan and fry the flour on it a little, stirring so that there are no lumps. Add sour cream, salt, pepper and tomato paste. Get a slightly thickened sauce. To avoid lumps, it is better to mix the sauce with a whisk when cooking.
  5. In the finished sauce, immerse the onions with carrots and mushrooms, give a little boil over the smallest fire.
  6. Serve the dish, putting porridge on the plates and watering the sauce with vegetables and mushrooms on top.

Dried Mushroom Recipe

Pre-soak dried mushrooms. It’s better to do it the night before. Pour clean, washed mushrooms with water for at least five hours to soften. Get the mushrooms, let the water drain. By the way, you can use some water, in which mushrooms were steeped for cooking. A glass of cereal is enough for 50 g of dried mushrooms, one large onion, one carrot, a little vegetable oil and three cloves of garlic.

In a pan, heat a little oil, fry chopped onions, chopped garlic, carrots on it, add mushrooms chopped randomly and fry it all a little again. Then put in a pan, washed raw cereals, salt, pepper, pour two glasses of water and cover it, simmer until buckwheat is ready.

How to cook in a slow cooker

Tasty, fragrant, as if from a Russian stove, buckwheat with mushrooms, onions and carrots in a slow cooker is obtained. It requires a minimum of effort, and the taste is very bright.

We do so.

  1. We take a glass of washed buckwheat, one and a half glasses of water, 300 g of champignons, onion and carrots.
  2. Finely chop the onion, rub the carrots on a coarse grater (for greater aesthetics, grate long noodles on the grater, as for Korean carrots).
  3. We set the "Frying" mode, and fry vegetables in vegetable oil for about seven minutes.
  4. As soon as the onions and carrots are slightly fried, add the mushrooms cut into thin slices. Leave to fry for another five minutes.
  5. Salt, pepper to taste, so that it is slightly salted - buckwheat will take excess salt.
  6. We put a glass of washed buckwheat, add water, set the mode to "Groats" (or "Buckwheat", depending on the slow cooker), wait for the device to finish working.
  7. Stir before serving.

With chicken breast

A more hearty and hearty dish comes with the addition of meat. It can be pork, beef, but it turns out to cook faster with chicken breast.

  1. Pour 2 glasses of water into the pan and pour a glass of washed buckwheat. Put half a teaspoon of salt. As it boils, reduce the heat and cook for a total of up to 10 minutes.   2. Meanwhile, in vegetable oil, fry diced onions, carrots, salt, pepper, add chicken breast, cut into small pieces. Fry until meat is cooked all together.
  3. Transfer buckwheat into a pan with meat and vegetables and mix here only. Warm up a bit, serve.

Cooking with Stew

 

If there is no meat at hand or not enough time, the prepared stew will help out. It is added at the stage of roasting meat: put the stew in the carrot and onion overheat, stew a little, and then add buckwheat. Simple, fast, delicious.

Potted in the oven

Cook in the oven using ceramic pots. This is a universal method that allows the use of almost any product. You can put lightly chopped chicken, pork on the bottom of the pot, add a little mushrooms. Or you can just limit yourself to buckwheat with vegetables. It will still be delicious, because in the oven, food is not just cooked, but languished.

As usual, a glass of cereal is taken over the onion, carrot, a little vegetable oil. Vegetables are overcooked, raw cereal is added to them, also slightly fried - this gives it a special bright aroma, and also nourishes it with oil. After that, the workpiece can be laid out in pots. At this point, you can put down pieces of meat, mushrooms.

If you use dry mushrooms, soak them and boil them before half-cooked.

Do not put the grits to the top, buckwheat greatly increases in volume when cooking. Fill with water from the calculation above 1 to 2.
