Perhaps, every housewife knows the traditional recipe for stuffed cabbage with minced meat. We will tell you how to diversify this satisfying, tasty and not difficult to prepare dish, so that it would appeal to all households.

Cabbage rolls with minced meat and rice in cabbage leaves

The recipe is based on wrapping meat filling in cabbage leaves.

We prepare the necessary products for one white fork:

  • minced meat from any meat - kilo;
  • rice - 120 g;
  • carrots - 2 pcs.;
  • bulbs - 2 heads;
  • table egg - 1 pc.;
  • concentrated tomato paste - 2 tbsp. l .;
  • fat sour cream - 200 g;
  • bay leaf - 2 pcs.;
  • salt, spices;
  • greens - to choose from;
  • vegetable oil - 50 ml.

We cook cabbage rolls with rice and minced meat, observing the following steps:

  1. In a large container, boil water and put a head of cabbage in it for 10 minutes. Then we take out the forks, cool slightly and remove the leaves one at a time, trying not to tear them. With a sharp knife, we cut off the thickenings on the sheets at their base. We do not pour out the water after boiling; we will stew the cabbage rolls in it.
  2. Rinse the rice, boil until half cooked, rinse again in a colander and let the water drain completely.
  3. We mix rice with minced rice, chopped onion (1 pc.), Egg, salt and seasonings.
  4. Wrap minced meat in leaves with an envelope. To do this, lay out the sheet, at the base (about 3 cm from the edge), put the stuffing. Then we cover first with the edge of the sheet, where it was attached to the stump, and then, with the right and left sides. Wrap the top edge.
  5. Fry the resulting semi-finished products on both sides until golden brown (can be rolled in flour).
  6. We lay cabbage rolls in a saucepan tightly to each other.
  7. Cooking the sauce: make frying in vegetable oil from onions, carrots, herbs and spices. Add the pasta and sour cream. Stew for 3 minutes.
  8. Stuffed cabbage is filled with water, remaining after cooking the cabbage, in such a volume that the products from it slightly “peeped out”. Bring to a boil.
  9. Pour the sauce into the cabbage rolls, lay out the bay leaf, reduce the flame, cover and simmer for 45 minutes.

Let’s reveal the secret: so that cabbage rolls do not unwind, they can be fastened with a toothpick, wrapped with thread or soaked from all sides in a beaten egg.

How to cook chicken

Stuffed cabbage from chicken meat is a dietary dish, if you use only the method of cooking or stewing in its preparation.

Ingredients for its preparation:

  • cabbage - 1 large forks;
  • chicken meat - 0.5 kg;
  • rice - 120 g;
  • carrots - 2 pcs.;
  • tomato. paste - 150 g;
  • onion - 2 pcs.;
  • bay leaf - 2 pcs.;
  • salt, seasonings - to choose from.

Cooking steps:

  1. Cooking minced meat. Pre-washed and dried chicken meat scroll in a meat grinder. Grate 1 carrot. Finely chop 1 head of onion. Salt, add spices and knead.
  2. We prepare cabbage sheets: put the forks for 10 minutes in boiling water, then we take out, cool and separate the sheets. Carefully cut thick veins.
  3. Cook the rice until half cooked, put it in a colander, rinse with cold water and let it drain completely.
  4. Stir the minced meat with rice. We wrap the filling in the leaves with an envelope.
  5. We put stuffed cabbage in a saucepan tightly to each other, pour water (it should not completely hide the product), bring to a boil.
  6. Preparing the fill. Dilute the paste with water 1: 1, rub the carrots on a fine grater, chop the onion head, mix everything and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  7. We pour the fill on the cabbage rolls, put the bay leaf, reduce the heat. Cover the dishes and simmer their contents for about 45 minutes

For juiciness of minced meat, it is recommended to scroll chicken meat without removing the skin from it.

Recipe for multicooker

You can cook cabbage rolls in a slow cooker.

To do this, you will need:

  • minced meat - 400 g;
  • rice - 120 g;
  • egg - 1 pc.;
  • cabbage leaves - 200 g;
  • onion - 60 g;
  • garlic - 1 clove;
  • water - 600 ml;
  • salt, spices.

 

Cooking steps:

  1. We place the cabbage for 10 minutes in boiling water. We take out, cool, separate the sheets. Carefully cut thick veins.
  2. Pour rice into the slow cooker, fill it with water and cook for 10 minutes in the “Rice” / “Pilaf” mode. Then we discard the cereal in a colander and cool.
  3. Minced meat is mixed with rice, egg, chopped onions and garlic. We add and add spices.
  4. Wrap the minced meat in cabbage leaves and spread the cabbage rolls in one layer in a container-double boiler.
    Pour 0.5 liters of water into the slow cooker, install a container with cabbage rolls, close the lid and cook for 20 minutes in the “Steam” / “Extinguishing” mode.

Serve with sour cream or any sauce.

Lazy cabbage rolls with minced meat and cabbage

If you don’t want to spend time sorting out the head of cabbage for leaves, you can cook lazy cabbage rolls with cabbage and minced meat.

Take:

  • cabbage - 800 g;
  • rice - 120 g;
  • minced meat - 600 g;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • onion - 1 head;
  • tomato. paste - 100 g;
  • vegetable oil - 40 ml.

Cooking a dish:

  1. In a cast-iron skillet with high edges, fry the carrots and chopped onions grated on a coarse grater until lightly browned.
  2. Add minced meat, pasta, salt, stir, so that there are no lumps, and fry on an average flame for 10 minutes, not forgetting to stir.
  3. Pour the washed raw rice, mix, pour water (350 ml), cover, reduce heat to a minimum and simmer for 25 minutes.
  4. Cut the cabbage and fry until soft on moderate heat. To avoid burning, you can add a little water.
  5. We shift the cabbage into a skillet with minced meat, mix and continue to simmer for 15 minutes.

The dish is ready. When serving, you can pour sour cream on the treat and sprinkle with herbs.

With tomato sauce

Classic cabbage rolls will be even tastier if cooked with tomato sauce.

Essential Ingredients:

  • minced meat - 1 kg;
  • cabbage - 1 large forks;
  • rice - 200 g;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • onion - 2 heads;
  • tomato sauce - 300 g;
  • sour cream - 120 ml;
  • vegetable oil - 50 ml.

Cooking steps:

  1. We put the heads in boiling water for 10 minutes, remove, cool and carefully, so as not to tear, remove the sheets.
  2. Boil rice cereal until half cooked, rinse through a colander, let it drain in water and mix rice with minced meat.
  3. Shred the onion. Add half of it to the minced meat. Salt everything, season with spices and mix.
  4. Wrap minced meat in leaves with an envelope.
  5. Lay the cabbage rolls down with a seam in the pan. Fill them with water, bring to a boil and reduce the flame to a minimum.
  6. Cooking the gravy. In a hot skillet, fry the remaining onions and grated carrots, pour in the tomato and bring to a boil. We spread sour cream and salt. Sprinkle with spices and simmer in a moderate flame for 5 minutes.
  7. Pour the gravy into the cabbage rolls, cover them and simmer for 40 - 45 minutes.

When serving, you can decorate the dish with herbs to your taste.
