Curantil is an imported drug that has established itself as an antithrombotic agent. Its price is quite high, so in pharmaceuticals there are analogues of Curantil, differing in budget price.

Composition, active substance of the drug

The active substance is dipyridamole. This component promotes the growth of interferon, which has an antiviral effect. Therefore, the main focus of the drug is to increase the body's resistance to viral diseases, protect blood vessels from blood clots. In addition to the main component, the medicine contains additional substances: sucrose, talc, calcium carbonate and others.

Due to its composition, the drug serves as a prophylaxis for platelet adhesion and is an excellent anti-angina pectoris. The drug dilates the walls of blood vessels, improving blood flow and enriching the body's cells with oxygen.

Analogues of Russian-made Curantila

You can replace it with cheaper analogues of Russian production, which are not inferior in effectiveness to the original drug:

  1. Dipyridamole is the most budgetary analogue of domestic production. It is prescribed for the prevention of stroke in the postoperative period.
  2. Trental. The drug is available in 100 mg tablets, the main component is pentoxifylline. But the effect of the drug is similar to Curantil.
  3. Actovegin. Available in 5 ml ampoules. This is the only analogue consisting of a special component that is produced from the blood of calves. The drug eliminates possible risks for the patient. Moreover, the spectrum of its action is extensive. In addition to the fight against cardiac ischemia, strokes and heart attacks, it enhances the body's resistance to viral infections.
  4. Pentoxifylline is a drug that has an aggressive effect on the body, therefore it is prescribed extremely rarely. It has many side effects.
  5. Mexidol. Available in the form of tablets of 125 mg. The medicine is used to treat atherosclerosis, circulatory disorders of the body, vascular dystonia and tissue hypoxia. The patient should be monitored by the attending physician during the use of the drug. If allergic and negative reactions of the patient’s body occur, the drug should be discontinued.

Curantil 25 mg is prescribed for adults and children over 12 years of age.

Indications for the use of the medication are:

  • heart attacks and post-infarction condition;
  • angina pectoris;
  • the need for the prevention of thrombosis;

  • heart failure;
  • hypertension;
  • fetal oxygen starvation during pregnancy;

Curantil 75 mg tablets are prescribed for adult patients, children under 12 years of age are not recommended.

The drug in a dosage of 75 mg is contraindicated in children under the age of 12 years. During pregnancy, a medicine is prescribed if the benefit of its use exceeds the possible harm. Also, the drug is banned for patients who suffer from acute diseases caused by circulatory disorders. An acute myocardial or cerebral infarction, renal or hepatic insufficiency, vegetovascular dystonia, arterial hypotension are a contraindication to the use of Curantyl. The tendency of the body to arbitrary bleeding, excessive bleeding and peptic ulcer of the stomach is a ban on the appointment of this drug.

Side effects of the drug include:

  • Palpitations, decreased blood pressure.
  • Nausea, diarrhea, but the symptoms disappear during prolonged use of the drug.
