Since nuts with condensed milk are a dessert dating back to the time when ammonia and soda were used to loosen the dough, it is the latter product that is most often found in recipes. But now soda can be replaced with a baking powder in a ratio of 1: 2 (one part of sodium bicarbonate into two parts of baking powder).

If cooked in half molds, then the dough needs to be rolled into a 4-5 mm thick cake. Then cut oval blanks with molds, which are then evenly distributed inside the "shells". Oven at 190 ° C until golden brown. Glue the finished halves with condensed milk.

Cooking on gas

Now it’s difficult to find a baking dish for nuts on an open fire, but there is good news: they are still being produced, since the popularity of this treat is still not fading.

If you managed to buy a special form or found one "in the bins", it is time to shake off the dust from it and bake delicious nuts from such components:

  • margarine - 150 g;
  • sour cream - 200 g;
  • eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • sugar - 250 g;
  • soda - 5 g;
  • flour - 390-410 g;
  • salt and vanillin;
  • boiled condensed milk for the filling - 350-400 g.

The sequence of actions:

  1. Mix flour with salt and vanilla. Grate cold margarine into this loose mass and grind everything into crumbs.

  • sour cream - 100 g;
  • butter - 100 g;
  • soda (extinguish with vinegar) - 5 g;
  • flour - 325-390 g;
  • condensed milk "toffee" (boiled) - 380 g.

Cooking sequence:

  1. Use a whisk to froth eggs with sugar, then add sour cream, melted non-hot oil, slaked soda and flour. The amount of the last ingredient must be adjusted so that the finished lump lags behind hands, but remains soft and plastic.
  2. Next, roll small balls from the dough (approximately equal to half a walnut). In portions, put them into the recesses of hazel greased with vegetable oil and bake the workpieces.
  3. Fill the cooled “shells” with a filling of condensed milk, combine in pairs in nuts and let them lie down a bit, so they will become even softer.
